My Hookah

so i got a hookah used from someone at really good deal. it is a 2 hose onxy hookah from sahara smoke i got it for 21 bucks shipped to my house. the guy only used it once and it looks it. i know it is from there because he sent me the invoice with it. only problem is the one time he did use it, seems he did not know what he was doing. and it has a burnt taste and smell to it. it smokes really well but the taste is stil there. is there any way to get the taste outta there? thanks for the help

mine smelled like that too (mini acrilic) so last night i poured some shitty vodka into it, sloshed that around in the stem, then used a cleaning brush and scrubbed the hell outa the inside. smells much better now

got a new bowl but the base, stem and the hoses smell as well. i am gonna order new hoses but i need to clean the base and stem

never tried it myself, but heard Coca Cola does wonders.

First line of defense - lemon juice & baking soda ~ shake and soak
Second line of defense - boiling salt water ~ soak
Third line of defense - soak with bleach, shake and soak with cheap vodka

Bleach would definately get rid of that smell and taste just wash it throughly afterwards so as not to have any residue left over

Or you guys could take the easy way out and use formula 420. I suggest the metal-pyrex-glass-ceramic one. It is what i use to keep my hookah clean. It works very nicely and cleaned a hookah of my friends that was never cleaned in 6 months and he smoked about 5 times a week...all day. It was disgusting when i poured out all the nasty but smoked like a dream afterwards.

WARNING-The all natural cleaner leaves a potent taste of lemon/pinesol. Someone cleaned my hose with it when i let them borrow it and i had to throw out the hose because I couldn't get rid of the taste. If you do not rinse after using the stuff you will get sick.

southsmoke.com has it if you to go right through a hookah site. they do reward points there too which is nice. its so easy to use and it has a gritty texture so it scrubs. it also kind of foams as you shake it in the hookah so it gets into every inch.

Hookah-shisha.com also carries the 420 Cleaner, although I would suggest just investing in the cheapest bottle of vodka you can find and a container of salt. It's practically the same thing as the 420 cleaner and you'll get tons more for the same price you would have spent....
