alen Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 I have been nagging about keeping this forum clean and if we have done that- sh*t like this wouldnt happend in the first place -So from now on NO f**king pushing for new hookahsites for personal winnings (free samples and sh*t )and NO more attacks on crappy companies -If people buys from assholes its their buisness - giving info of good companies is one thing but trying to be a hero and throw sh*t on a company input after input is another -as you understand its all about money someone (no names) is afraid to loose customers beacuse whats being written in this forum -but i have learned one thing and that is what goes around comes around sooner or later they get what they deserve -so i hope we learned something from this- keep it clean and keep it about hookah smoking and remember how all this started and learn of your mistakes -atleast i know who im gonna order from in the future and who im not gonna order from Alen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The best way to root good companies from bad is to share information, and this is a vital source where us nargile lovers can go to find info about who they can trust. There is no benefit in keeping quiet when a company screws you over, first of all they will have no incentive to change their bad habits and second of all good people might end up getting screwed in exactly the same way when a little information could have led them to change their behavior. So keep with the reviews of service and products, they are really one of the most useful things on this forum.[/quote] i agree completely. auctually the only reason i came to this forum at first was to find a good site to buy a hookah from or check out the site i was going to buy from. i got on here and the owners of the site were trying to scam people, so i lucked out by coming here only minutes before i was about to place an order. i think it is important to keep facts public, but maybe just cut back on the personal opinions. It is important and my hope that this aspect does not change about the forum: if you have a great or horrible review/criticism/thoughts then you should post it on here for all of us to read. How else will people (both novices and regular users of hookah) find out if they should order from this site, or purchase a particular kind of tobacco, how long will shipping take from X Company, etc...? I think that if you are a bad company or one that engages in bad practices (long shipping times, expensive prices, faulty merchandise, etc...) you should be the first to recognize the importance of criticism (of which you can read in this forum) and use it to develop better business practices, which will ultimatly lead into better profit margins. It's one thing to say your stuff is great and that people should buy from you but quite another to actually have those claims proven by your customers. If the criticism is false, then people will be able to figure it out. If it's true, then it should be stated. If 4 users say that X Company was horrible in their shipping or merchandise quality - then odds are it's not an isolated case and perhaps, this information can be of use to the consumer when she/he is deciding on what to buy and from where. You seem to be focusing this thread on me and my actions with promoting companies for the sole purpose of getting free samples. I don't know what the hell is wrong with you people. How many times do I have to explain to you that Shisha-Emirates gave me free samples of a few of the flavors so that I could try before I buy. Well, after tasting the samples, I came to my senses and realised that those flavors were not WORTH what they were charging for them. Upon being told that I was to receive free samples, Richard of S-E asked me if I would review those samples. I wasn't really in the mood to write reviews, but I said okay because they were going out of their way to Overnight the free samples to me. SHOULD I HAVE NOT ACCEPTED THE FREE SAMPLES TO REVIEW ON THE BASIS THAT SOME MEMBERS OF THE FORUM MIGHT THINK I WAS HELPING TO PROMOTE A NEW COMPANY IN THE FORUM? Shisha-Emirates said that they made a "business decision" by Overnighting me the free samples, unfortunately for them my reviews were LESS than glowing and people got the impression that they were price-gouging the customers. Maybe I had a hand in convincing the members of that, but at the time of posting that information I was in STRONG belief that the HookahForum Members would be better off buying their Havana Ma'assel from companies with better pricing. I recently placed an order with Shisha-Emirates for some Havana Double Apple and Grapefruit. Though, I could have gotten the Double Apple cheaper somewhere else, there are NO other companies selling Grapefruit ma'assel. HookahHookah will be in the next couple months, but for the time being Shisha-Emirates is who I'm going to be doing business with for certain products that I can't find anywhere else. Am I not supposed to post that information because certain members of this forum think it's in BAD taste to promote a new company that no one has ever heard of before? I emailed Shisha-Emirates to apologise for most of the negative things I said in the forum about them, and they accepted my apology, but they also mentioned that at least a HALF DOZEN companies called them up on the phone to let S-E know that they think The Hookah Forum Members were WAY OUT OF LINE for bashing them on their pricing and business practices. Apparently, this forum is getting the reputation amongst MANY hookah companies for BULLYING businesses and driving customers away by posting "False & Negative Information" about their experiences with these companies. While I do believe that members should treat this as an OPEN FORUM and not hold back on posting their experiences with companies they've either had a good or bad experience with, I think we can do this WITHOUT saying nasty things about the companies and without BULLYING them.
