Mya Stem Tray = Wobbly

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I have a question for ya guys. I bought a Mya a bit ago and the stem does not have a little metal disc for the Tray to sit on. I noticed in alot of pics, that the stem have a small little disc that keeps the tray level and not teeter on the stem.

Like this stem w/ little disc

I went on the Mya website and found some Mya stem adapters but i didnt see any type of disc on there. All else fails im just going to hit home depot this weekend and find a quick fix.

Thx for the help guys

That depends on the type of stem. Does your stem come apart where the stem meets the bowl? Some of them have a little space there where the tray sits and the tray has a lipped inner edge. If yours does then your stem will not be able to use the little mya plate.

The little lip is for your bowl grommet. Push your grommet down just a little bit and it SHOULD lock over the little lip and hold your tray in place. Thats the way it works with the original style QT's. I can post a picture if you need.

Actually, i remembered this thread, look down near the bottom of the posts on the first page, it has the two different top types, with and without the disk, and it shows how the grommet slips over the lip on the diskless version.
