i use a grommet. obviously the bottom cannot be removed but you can still clean it out. the easiest way is to swish water and lemon juice or even some formula 420 through it. then rinse with hot water

The lemon juice and warm water method works wonders for my Mya Washable hose. I used to get a smokey flavor just straight inhaling from the hose. After cleaning it just a few hours ago I cant taste really anything. Great method, highly recommended!

Which Mya hose do you have? You have to be careful with rusting

Yes I have the MYA hose with the ends that screw off and it was claimed to be washable at HS...don't be fooled. I turned it into a oversized hose that I put up pics in the How to section. Waste of $25 bucks and I could have got a nammor. I have a nammor now and I love it. What about the sweatbands? How can they be cleaned. I got mine on a trade here and the white is a little grey, Not big deal, just wondering the best way to clean it up. It must be because it as a black nammor and the color ran into the white maybe? Either way I love the hose and I will be ordering a new one from HS soon.

What kinda time period are we talking? I mean, shit breaks down steadily, if slowly. Even if it does break down on me, I have a backup, so it isnt that big of a deal. If it lasts twice as long as a normal hose, I'll have gotten my money's worth.
