shisha fan
yes, you smoke it just like regular shisha. and it`s at least as bad for you as other brands of shisha.
gaia.plateau
It isn't chemically addictive, and does not contain tar. In those ways, it's probably better for you, but anything that you put in your lungs apart from pure air is bad for you.
Luke69
You know air still kills you as well. The slower you breath the longer you live.... theoretically
everydayshisha
Saying that shisha does not contain tar is stupid and deceiving. No substance contains tar. Not even pure tobacco. Tar is a substance produced when another substance burnsThe "Tar 1mg"(or whatever value) you see on cig packs is obtained by burning a whole cig using a smoke-analysis-machine (not sure what is called but its a special device anyway and measuringShisha does not produce any tar simply because shisha doesnt burn (not supposed to burn). The reason you feel the smoke harsh when you put too much coal, is because it starts to burn both the tobacco and mollases in it instead of vapourizing them slowly.Hope my post helps you to understand what tar is and why shisha packaging says 0% tarEdit: just noticed gaia's post... there is no pure air because air is not a pure substance. Air is a mixture elements like Oxygen Argon etc. The amount of each varies by little and nowadays it contains CO2 and other "harmful" substances. gaia.plateau
QUOTE (everydayshisha @ Dec 15 2007, 07:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Edit: just noticed gaia's post... there is no pure air because air is not a pure substance. Air is a mixture elements like Oxygen Argon etc. The amount of each varies by little and nowadays it contains CO2 and other "harmful" substances.Air is about 72% nitrogen, 10% oxygen and various other components, of which argon constitutes about 0.8%.Not all air contains CO2 and other harmful substances, that's mostly just an issue in large urban centers. For 99% of Canadian territory the air is completely pure of harmful elements, and the point was that this type of "pure air" is pretty much the only thing that you can put into your lungs that won't harm you. Boersnoes
Nothing is healthy. Really, everything contains poisons, even carrots and salad. The point is, your body is prepared for those poisons and can deal with them by making you pee, sweat and breath out.It just becomes a problem when your body can't keep up with your poison intake. This is why eating the same thing all the time is about the most unhealthy thing you can ever do (next to stabbing yourself). If you're concerned with your health, then smoking (sisha or whatever) is just fooling yourself.Know what you're doing, make the decision and deal with it.
