EternalSoil
i had to look at what exactly a ceramic one looked like haha!DO NOT PUT COALS ON HERE TO LIGHT THEM!!!Buy a cheap little single burner thing.I havent had experience with the ceramic stoves and coals but i know that they leave burn spots and stains on the little hotplate burner i bought. Stealth
I had this same q when I was at a house with one. I didnt want to risk it so I lit a fire in the gas fireplace to get them started. On a related note, has anyone tried a microwave? I actually put one in a few seconds because i was curious and the very edges of the coal started burning and getting grey. What I cant figure is what you would set it on in the microwave... Yeah I dont think a few of pieces on coal on the glass for a minute would cause any damage. I do it a few times a week to light my jap coals. It works good never had a problem just a mess to clean up.
Twang
I have an electric single burner (and sometimes a propane tank) that I use for coal lighting. But I figured my stove top would be the fastest when I'm indoors. I might try it and just keep an eye on it.
