H-s Prices

hey, i was just wondering what was up with the prices of h-s. the shisha, accessories and coals are like 1-3 bucks more than most websites. is their stuff really that much better or is it just that they know they can get away with it. southsmoke has finger coals that are like 8 bucks and the h-s ones are almost 10. i purchase from both but imean are the h-s any better?

They may just be able to sell locally at a higher price maybe?

well take into the consideration of free shipping they are offering on orders over $35 . That is a good saving in itself. You may want to just do a livehelp chat with someone there and ask if they price match. They really do offer amazing custom service.

yea, i think the reason that they can set their prices higher is because the know that people will still buy from them. I haven't had a bad experience with H-S yet, and i will continue to order from them until then

i doubt that, the price difference between wholesale and retail for hookah products is huge. most of the stuff on hookah websites is more then double the wholesale

I just price matched a little with H-S and HC and when it comes to exact product i.e. tangiers on both sites, starbuzz, same exact hoses (not just similar looking) bowls and other things, they were either the same and in a few cases H-S was cheaper! So i'm not sure what you mean, what specific product are you talking about?

ive only ordered once and i had a bad experience. i got a bad batch of af apricot that was dry and stuff and their agreement was that they would give me a free batch with my next purchase. not much of a deal i would think. I get a free one IF i purchase from them again. but in response to waterboi's post, just look at their prices.

Like EternalSoil has stated, the prices are very close to others and in some cases a little cheaper. I have ordered from them on many occasions and have not had a bad experience yet.

I have ordered everything from HS. I like them very much.
I got my first order from Hookah Co. yesterday. They have fast shipping. I just got a hose, tongs, and some gromets from them and Blueberry Tangiers
I have had very good service from HS. Waiting for my Bambino to get here on Tuesday from HS with some Schnoberry Tangiers

I have had some bad boxes of Golden Coals, but that is not HS fault.

its only a 50g so its not worth sending back. i mean next time i order im gonna get 250g boxes.

You are annoyed because you got a bad 50? 50s are bad like 10% of the time, at least they were when I used to order them.

It takes almost a week for stuff to get here from HS, but I still order from them because of the service and quality, and it seems like a lot of people do, so chalk this up as a mistake and try again.
I made the mistake of ordering from MNH last week, and it is one I won't make again, so I'll be back to HS for the foreseeable future.

Yup, their prices on a few items are a bit higher. But then again I tried ordering from southsmoke and had nothing but problems from the very beginning. Ended up voiding the order and getting the same stuff off of h-s for a few more bucks just because they are able to get everything to my doorstep sans unnecessary headaches.<br />As for AF, like somebody else said, it's the manufacturer's fault. And even if retailers ask double manufacturer's price, it's a niche field. Also, there are pretty high costs of running a business involved. Just think about all the instances of stores messing up and sending replacements for free.

i just talked to them about the prices of their finger charcoals and they said that they would meet the southsmoke prices because its the same product.

usually retailers base their prices off of if they give free shit to certain orders (it has to get paid for somehow), shipping deals, package deals, the rewards system. Besides if you can get them to match use your points and your forum discount all at once its a good deal in my book.

one thing i dont like is when they match a hookah from another site they take away all the free stuff.. you can get the same hookah for the same price they match it for and the free stuff on the other site. but this is in no way bashing hs. they are a good company

I think it's pretty much the same everywhere you go. But I can tell you that I only order from H&S. They have amazing customer service, and if that warrants a price increase of a few bucks here and there, I'm willing to pay it. Those guys always send me pipes that smoke great, and offer a decent selection across the board. I wish they would offer some more pipes as the same old line-up gets a little boring. But every pipe they sell is top notch. I've ordered 6 of them I think, and I always get compliments on them. H&S is top notch in my book.

I beg to differ with you, the markup is far from huge and its not more than double......hell its not even double. Dunno where you got that info from but the hookah industry is far different than your normal walmart stuff that you can mark up 200% Everyone talks about how you can go to egypt and geta hookah for $10 and we pay $100 over here. well, you have to import them, theres a minimum quantity, theres customs fees etc etc you see where this is going? And, if you are the importer and you retail then you make a little more than the rest. If you have to buy from an importer or a distributor AND you try to remain competetive with your prices, and you have to pay shipping to get it to your retail site, theres just not much left over at the end of teh day when you do your books. Trust me, I know.
