This is where I get confused. On some of the 'how-to' pics they showed the Tangiers packed so much that it sticks out the top of the bowl. Surely then that's packing in quite a bit? The other issue I have to get around is that the Meduse pipes have a fixed bowl and screens so I won't have many options to play with the number of coals or to move them around.


it doesnt burn it, it bakes it. simple cooking. when you make cookies if you dont spray the pan (foil in our case) then the cookies (shisha) get stuck. but when was the last time your cookies were bad?! yeah, you like those cookies! and you will like the shisha ( - clickhea; sorry bro)

if you dont pack enough tangiers int he bowl it will smoke fine but the exhale isnt too nice on the back of the throat (i tried this last night just in case cause someone said he does it liek that and it smokes great)

the sniper line is as far as i can tell. the actual hookahs if you check out the set up use a well designed screen much like the metal ones that are included with alot of hookahs now a days to cover the bowl

Well I finally unpacked everything and all I can say is there are lots of bits that come in the package smile.gif

Unfortunately there was a small problem with the vase stand... it must have smashed during transit because it was in lots of little pieces - I'll call Meduse tomorrow and hopefully that will be sorted out. I hope I'll get a replacement before Christmas. I guess these things happen although I'm feeling quite down at the moment because I was so excited to give this thing a go. It also means I can't see the effect that the Cameleon Lamp creates sad.gif

It didn't stop me using the main shisha piece and also the mini sniper...

I'm pleased with both products so far. I'll write proper reviews in the review section as soon as the problem with vase stand is sorted. What I will say is that the products are definitely designed for smoking shisha, I can't say whether they're suitable for anything else because I've never used anything else.

Also, Meduse have cleverly designed a much larger shisha head and I think I'm the first customer to receive it. Looking at it, I don't think I'll have problems when I get my Tangiers (when it arrives).

can you post some pictures? i`ve seen the meduse brute in real life and it was 800 euros, how much did you pay for yours?

So Meduse are sending a replacement vase stand. They said they'd also be sending me some other goodies they're working on so I'm pretty excited.

I chose to pay extra for next day delivery (which from Eastern Europe was far from cheap! sad.gif)

To be honest, at the moment Meduse are pretty set against selling these pipes online and want to get them into bricks and mortar retailers first. If anyone is seriously wanting to drop such a large amount of money on these products then the safest thing to do is call Meduse first. I got mine directly from Meduse.

I picked up the replacement vase this morning from the DHL depot and also ParcelForce delivered my Tangiers today (on a Saturday) because they had too many others to do on Monday smile.gif

Cleaning the glass isn't a big problem, the brushes are the most robust I've ever used and the cleaning fluid is surprisingly good. What is a problem is the possibility of the shisha hose to get pulled and the whole thing to come crashing down. There's almost 20 litres of dyed water in a very tall glass unit.. its scary and I hate having to be so careful around it because I know its only a matter of time until someone knocks it over ohmy.gif

The vase stand takes 17.5l of water. It isn't connected to the shisha water chamber which sort of sits on top. The shisha chamber takes <1l. So in total that's 18.5l (almost 20)


I see then the water acts as weight to the Hookah then. That thing must be pretty hefty!

LoL I like how in your review the Meduse guys said the small bowl was popular with Americans, I think I have an idea of what that is used for. The mask is always kind of odd, I also have an idea in my mind of what people use that for. All in all a sweet hookah, but I will stick with the traditional style, it makes me feel like I'm an Arabian wazir.
