[Elmo] Posted December 21, 2007 Share Posted December 21, 2007 I just got my order from HookahCompany today and I deicded to get a 250g tub of Al Fakher Grape because everyone has been raving about it. I opened it up and it smelt like spoiled ketchup with a slight undertone of white grape.I did a search and found a few other people have had this problem, but no answers. Any suggestions??? Is yours in the new packaging as well? it seems like the new packaging for AF Grape seems to smell like ketchup to everyone! Its weird cuz I remember when I first started smoking hookah, my friend had AF grape (last year=old packaging) and I remember that it was smooth, sour, and sweet...And I really remember that sweet part and that's why I liked that flav. I do not know what it is. That is why I joined the forum with this question. I was wondering if it was something I was doing wrong. Even though I have not got cherry in the new tub, the last 2 that I have purchased were not as tasty. AF had the best cherry I smoked so far. My last batch of AF Grape was terrible, and my AF apple was pretty weird too (the AF mango i ordered with it tasted fine though, and is one of my favorite flavors). But i did get a good AF Grape 50 today... ANd i have 1 more AF grape 50 to try. November production dates on both, one was normal. So i guess we will see? The other half (11 out of 20) dated in march 2008. The january batch had a very bad aroma, and tasted similar to medicine (grape, orange, mixed berry) which to say the least i am not pleased about.
