Black Label Herbal Shisha

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody, I've been following this herbal shisha thing for a while now and have noticed nobody has really touched base on Black Label Herbal Shisha. So I bought 5 jars of 50 gram samples and decided to give them a whirl. I bought Jamaican Rum, Margarita, Pina Colada, Chocolate, Vanilla. (BTW I live in Florida, so these flavors are commonly found here.) I paid $10 for them, they have yet to arrive but I am anxious to try them out.

Has anybody tried any of this stuff out??? Please leave comments.

I havnt tried any of the herbal stuff. After seeing everything I've read about them I don't see myself buying a pack at any point.

However please do let us know how it goes for you. Post up a review when you get it.

I've got 8 different flavors of the Black Label that I picked up a few months ago to try out... It's very similar to Soex in that its got very light flavor that doesn't last more than 10 minutes or so and gives no buzz, but I don't like it at all because its very rough shredded little pieces. The only way to get it into a regular bowl is to mix it with other tobacco that has larger leaves, otherwise it will just keep getting pulled through the holes in the bottom.

The only thing I use it for lately is filling in spaces in other bowls. I'll pack a bowl with another brand of tobacco and then put a layer of the black label stuff on top... it gives a bit of a different flavor at the start that wears off quickly leading into another flavor.

I used to use the free soex i used to get as a layer between my tobacco and coals. So if things got a bit hot it was the soex that got charred whilst protecting my tobacco.

Then i learnt how to manage heat tongue.gif

From things that I have read on here it sounds like it's a quality control problem with the shisha. Some have said it's not moist enough and the flavor doesn't last very long which I would imagine is linked to not being moist enough. And some have said it's really juicy. So who really knows.

Ok, so the shisha finnally came in today and I'm not so sure I'm going to like these flavors. The Vanilla and Chocolate smell fine and I'm looking forward to smoking those. The Pina Colada smells like a Pina Colada, but it's very sweet. I bet it would mix really well with the rum. The margarita smells like it's been sitting in a bowl of tequila. It is quite pungent and I'm not exactly sure if I want to smoke that (I'm starting to think I picked some bad flavors.) The rum smells like rum and that looks like it's a really good mixer. I plan on smoking them this week but I'm going to order some more fruity flavors just in case these ones aren't so good.

Also, whats the difference between using the metal screen and tin foil??? My mom was smoking the other day and the metal screen can only fit one coal and the smoke was really thin. My mom does'nt like the tin foil because she thinks it makes it look like she's smoking crack out of it, so I let her use the screen. Could somebody give me a good reason/excuse to use tin foil...

I tried it at a trade show. I was about as impressed with it as I was with the new VW Bug. It was cute but I would not take it for a second whilr.

No I am being quite serious. I can barely handle Soex. Theres no way I can handle the Black line. Its so bad we don`t Carry it. Yea Sahara Smoke its me telling it like it is when you guys read this. I was just on the phone with sahara smoke and we touched base on the line. and I told them it was a bad line to sell in my taste.

Oh some insider news. Hookah Hookah is coming out with 5 new flavors: Champange, Pomegranite, Cranberry, guava, and 7 spice. I hear the Champagne will be a good base flavor to mix with.

This Champagne looks very promising to us.

use the search engine in the forum. you'll find ALL KINDS of discussions about foil vs screens. from what i understand from reading the threads is most hookah smokers use foil. it's just better in my opinion, at least.

you get a better seal
you can control how you poke holes
you don't have to clean the foil (just throw it away)
the smoke is thicker in most cases unless you are a major pro at using the screen
screens rust and deteriorate (no one wants to smoke rust, dude) so you gotta keep replacing them
foil helps keep more of the ash out of your bowl, which will muck up the flavor

you can show your mom how many people on the forum use foil. Eric, the guy who makes Tangiers uses foil, i believe. and if that is not enough to convince her, then buy her a hookah of her own so she can use a screen to her heart's content. smile.gif

http://www.hookahforum.com/index.php?showtopic=16433

I have opened up a thread about the truth and facts about Soex. I didnt want to mix in with this thread as this was opened as a comparason and I am giving the facts regarding one brand. Wish more companies were open about their brands other than saying, "We are the best or All our flavours are the best, bla bla bla...

Thanks
