I recently ordered a Ice Torrent hookah from Hookah-shisha.com and i'm extremely dissapointed in this hookah, does anyone know if there's a return policy? I looked everywhere on the site and i'll be damned if I saw one.

Figures, oh well.

Can someone recommend me a hookah that doesn't have SCREW on parts? That's my problem with this stupid acryllic one everything screws on and it's so flimsy.

I'm looking at this Syrian Glyph...

Also, I bought some Tangiers, and i'm using a regular clay bowl with quick lite coals...

I barely taste any flavor, i'm watching my heat management, I acclimated the tobacco and I just can't get it to work.

No flavor, sometimes not thick smoke, and no buzz.

Do I really need old fashioned coals and a phunnel bowl?

What do you mean by screw on parts? Every pipe sold by H-S, and every one that I have looked at online, has threaded pipes which screw into one another.

My Glyph will be arriving any day now... it cleared Canadian customs 6 days ago. Canon has reviewed it in the Product Reviews section, and I will be adding mine once I've smoked from it a few times.

Do you find the Tangiers to be harsh, or simply flavourless? How much coal are you using? How are you poking your holes, assuming you're using foil? How long did you acclimate the tobacco? And what flavour do you have?

I strongly recommend natural coals, and very strongly recommend a phunnel bowl for smoking Tangiers, but neither are necessary to get a good session.

I acclimated it inside my house for 5 hours, I smoke outside. ( it's winter time and fairly cold, is that a problem? (tobacco wise))

I use one coal (Quick lite gold coals) with I put on the side of the bowl, I poke my holes fairly large around the outer of the bowl, then again around it in the middle.

I ordered, Kashmir Peach, Blueberry, and Raspberry I have only tried the Kash and the Blue. And it's not harsh by any means just pretty much flavorless.

What I mean by "screw on parts" is that the parts...screw on to each other.

Ok...let me try and give you an example. I have a friend who has a VERY nice hookah that has a glass base and you just PUSH the stem into the base.

I have to SCREW my stem into my base.

I'm looking for something that you PUSH.

Ah, I understand. But would a "screw-grommet" not be sturdier than a "push-grommet"? In any case, it may be possible to simply fit your current hookah with a different grommet, and be able to push it into the base.

From what I understand of acclimatization, you want to acclimate it to the temperature it will be smoked at. So if you're acclimating it at room temperature and smoking it outside, that could likely be your problem.

Regarding the coal, try breaking it into 4 pieces and placing them at opposite points of the bowl. Kashmir Peach is my personal favourite tobacco, and I've found it to be quite excellent in both phunnel and standard bowls. Is there anywhere you can go to smoke inside, to see if acclimatization is your problem? An underground parking lot, maybe?

I live in the middle of nowhere Texas.

I'm still living at my dads house (Just finished school) and he wont let me smoke inside, so no I don't, should I acclimate the tobacco outside...and keep it outside? It's really cold outside...not cold enough for Snow...it IS Texas, but pretty damn cold.

Not trying to be a dick or anything but you should read the product description more carefully before you order. It clearly says:

acrylic base - the acrylic "silver" base features a convenient ribbed shaft that "screws into" the matching acrylic base making for a secure seal.

If it's above 40 farenheit, meaning that the shisha shouldn't freeze, then yeah, acclimate it outside.

And on a side note it's like -35 Celsius here before wind chill you ass tongue.gif

No wonder you're little avatar over there is so blue, he's frozen solid! (Mid-smoke, too! That hurts)

Just because I am disspleased with it does not mean I did not read the acrylic part. I DID read it. I did NOT realise it was going to be such a piece of shit. Perhaps you should rethink other peoples logic before you throw your ignorance out.

Chill out man. Everyone seems like they have given good suggestions. It looks like that you did not research your hookah very carefully. There is no need to make attacks.

Yes it will, I actually ordered a different type of KM and hopefully it will come in today. But from what I hear KM's are pretty good hookahs, you won't regret it. happy.gif

I am chill, but the guy blatantly assumed I was ignorant. I don't appreciate that, so I told him where I stand.

Yes I can read - Thank you smile.gif

Will this hookah have a stem which you push in?

It looks like a nice hookah and i'm considering buying it...what do you think?

You won't go far wrong with that KM. Bloody excellent piece of kit.

The original hookah you got is... fairly well know as being a bit crap. You just lucked out.
Lots of folks make the mistake of thinking that screw fittings are going to be the dog's balls.... but they ain't all that way.
