Painted Glass, Or Tinted Glass?

Recommended Posts

I've been curious about what people like better in a hookah, a base that has been hand painted, with patterns and other stuff, or tinted or clear glass base? My hookah is painted red with black chainlink pattern, what about yours???

And does anybody have a gold colored stem??? I like the way it looks but I can't find alot of hookahs that have this feature.

I like the bases where the glass itself is colored because they seem more durable. Mine is green glass with designs cut into it.

My hookah also has a gold stem, but since somebody personally bought it and shipped it to me, I can't really be of much help as to how you'd get one. ...befriend a soldier deployed to the Middle East? tongue.gif

I have a clear glass vase and i thought if I could paint it somehow. Any suggestions? smile.gif

yeah try if you paint it...acrylic will not have a shiny look and will flake alot more easily, oil paint will take a long time to dry, but will look good...never tried it before though.

the paint on all the ones i have owned eventually flake off...i like the dark tinted glass with a simple painted design

P prefer mostly clear glass. I wanna see my smoke damn it tongue.gif

Makes sense biggrin.gif

So the paint will eventually come off anyway. I carry it along with me quite often so the paint would become scratchy fast.

Ok, so I wont bother myself with painting it, unless something happens to it and I'd have to buy a new one, something colored this time.

Yeah, paint comes off, and i heard that acid stained bases are thinner? huh.gif

Tint doesn't have as big of a color variation or number of design possibilites as painted glass, but the tint will atleast always be there.
