Seriously Getting Pissed

Ok, some of you might remember last tuesday I ordered some shisha, a
10-pack sampler thing of al-waha cause it was the biggest sampler pack
i could find.  I ordered this off of social smoke after hearing
mostly positives from people on this very forum.  Right before I
ordered there was a customer service representative auctually on the
site, that I could talk to kind of MSN or AIM-like which was really
nice and i was really wowed by the level of customer service.  I
asked this genteel how long the shipping would take, after being told
3-4 days, i decided ok, works for me. 
  Fast Forward a Week:  No box.  Nothing.  I got a
receipt for my transaction and that is all....and that's digital so i
cant smoke that unless i print it out.  All emails to SocialSmoke
have gone unanswered.  I have received no tracking number, no
help, and no product.  As far as i know, they havnt even shipped
it since it says Status: Pending Shipment, still next to my order
#.  Although this may still just be a rare occurance to
SocialSmoke customers, it is too much for me.

It bothers me when I have to get angry and threaten and do this very
thing just to get a response, but fancy that, I have been responded
too.  Too sum up this matter I will paste what they sent to me
right here:

"Dear Anthony,

Your order was shipped on the 31 of August; the very next day after the
order was placed. The USPS tracking number is #(private)*
however when I went to pull the tracking number it was not updated in the
system. Sadly the USPS is not the most reliable carrier. Our website has a
little bug in it that does not update properly when an order has been
completed, however rest assured that your order was completed and shipped on
8/31/05.


Either way, we don't know why it has not been delivered, however there has
been many delays due to Hurricane Katrina with UPS and USPS. Please let us
know if you have any problems. It should be delivered very soon, you might
want to call your local post office and check to see if they have any
further information. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Still a little perturberd that they dont seem to think this "glitch is
worth telling me about, but still.  I guess they are right that it
is a problem with the shipping provider.  I'll give another day or
two and just consider myself another 2ndary victim of that damn
hurricane.  So too recap, the matter has been so far accounted for.

I think that Katrina has f**ked things up for everybody.  I
ordered something from somebody (not hookah related) in MO which got
shipped via Parcel Post on the 17th, and I just got it today.  I
have never had Parcel Post take more than a week.  Be patient bud,
it will get there.  The guys at Social Smoke are ok.
