seefoodlover
I have a one hose hookah and I saw an adapter that replaces the one way valve to let a second hose attach. It would be nice to convert my one hose into a two hose for $8 but I was wondering if anybody has one of these and how does it work???

The Devils Playground
OKay before someone messes you up with wrong information. We have 2 Mya QT`s and guess wheat both are 2 hose converted. The purge valve comes right out. Sometimes they are stuck in there disassemble it. When you see the male threads grab a Pr of Plyers and just turn it right off there. If you want Message me I will take pics and post them of both of ours. We left the original fitting to its unblocked for when we are smoking alone so it can still be purged of bad smoke through the other hose. But trust me Its not only available its common. Most of my customers that have a QT here all have theirs adapted. Its just the only smart thing to do. Best of all they roll around like a quiet passenger while you drive because they are so Heavy and small. So after you get that second hose on there drop it on the rear floorboard and take a freind and go for a cruise and think of us doinng the same here daily.Laters, NealQUOTE (seefoodlover @ Dec 26 2007, 03:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ah good thinking

seefoodlover
Well I left my hookah at my grandmothers house (Her favorite flavor is Mango (she's badass)) so I can't really look at it right now But i have never really paid much attention to the purge valve. If the purge valve is welded on is there anyway to overide the one way valve??? Don't really know how else to explain it buy I think you know what I mean. hshah
My purge valve is welded on, but the top unscrews to reveal the ball bearing... could something be screwed onto that?

It just wouldnt match the other side. Edited December 27, 2007 by Elky

hshah
Hmm... just saw some pictures of the Mya Hose Adaptor and the screw on it is "male" and so would the end of my hookah when I take off the cap covering the ball bearing Also realised that when sucking on the hose attached to this, the other smoker would have to block his/her pipe too... so not going to bother with this now

If you can try to bring your stem into a brick and morter shop to make sure it matches up.

The Devils Playground
Yea go to your local shop and get an adapter. Also PLease (I see this mistake all the time) Take the hookah with you. If you have a QT it should not be welded. I have 1 QT now (sold my other one today) and they were not welded. Sure its not a bambino? NO if its the one in the pic its a qt. Dude look in side it should be tight but should be able to be grabbed with Plyers and and threaded right out. Some times shops get in used broken hookahs from customers. Many will save the parts. You may be able to get a chinese adapter from a cheaper hookah to thread right on to the other part of the purge valve.Either way good luck and keep everyone Posted.
