Germans And Shisha

Recommended Posts

I love the germans, they're cool and prepare shisha pretty good, but for gods sake, they're gonna make shisha so complicated it'll be like rocket science, with a bunch of layers and certain hole designs in the foil and certain things in the bottom and foil rings and all that haha tongue.gif
edit : also, dont take this in a racist way, i have so many german friends it isnt funny =P Edited by Seanij

greetings to malta and welcome to the euro-zone (in 4 days) smile.gif

back to topic ... obviously the german love to experiment... this also applies to preparing the hookah.
in german forums at least 2000 different setups are posted, but this doesn't mean that exerybody is changing his setup permanently, after all we smoke the hookah to chill cool.gif

i smoke all shisha brands with the same setup (actually I smoke only tangiers lately) and im happy with it.

Go to an apotheke..Buy some Glyzerin
Mix it in with your shisha

and it juicy as hell..smokes so good...and no weird taste biggrin.gif

and also go to the actual arabic stores...they sell real shisha straight from the manufacturer..and it doesnt have the dryness of the german shisha

stop thats wrong, we also have to pay tobacco-tax here when we buy the special dry german shisha rolleyes.gif
all store here sell the dry one ... so buy everything related to hookah in germany but don't buy shisha !

explanation for the lucky non-german hookah smokers that don't undestand our problem:
in germany it is prohibited to sell pipe-tobbaco with more than 5% moisture, they sell tobacco specially made for us to stick to this damn law.
so all shisha here in germany is dry like a fart of a camel unsure.gif
and we got 2 possibilities ... pimp the dry shisha with glycerin (and have a lack of taste) or order the good one from the states wink.gif

ever tried honey molasses mix? there are different flavours and you put it in your shisha so it would be wet. saw it on a german site. but ye i know the 5% rule sucks. i meant the arabs who sell wet molasses dont pay tax/smuggle it in or else it would be dry ^^.

for a maltese you know pretty much about the hookah situation here wink.gif
you're right, there are more ways to pimp than glycerin, but believe me you can't compare it with the original moistured shisha huh.gif

and yeah they also smuggling original molasses into germany, but you can't get it outside the big towns and unfortunately 95% of smuggeld shisha is nakhla *puke*

so thank god there are online shops in the states that dispatch to europe rolleyes.gif

i can't believe that you don't have e.g. sapt (société arabe pour produits de tabac) in malta due to your proximity to tunisia.

the boxes of shisha with paid duties here have a tax stamp.

i went to a hookah bar in Jacksonville, they treat the hookah like an art. they ahve special hookahs for different flavors that way the flavor is never "ruined"

i had my best smoke there (i feel like im advertising) but seriously he packed me a bowl and it was a real treat. he even put wine in my vase which added to the flavor.

mhh special hookahs for different flavors isn't really necessary, but it's advisable to use an extra hose for strong and obstinate flavors e.g. coffee, liquorice and mint.
putting other liquid than pure cold water in the vase is ineffective in my opinion, better smoke hookah and drink the wine biggrin.gif

i didnt argue with them, they have been around for about 4 years and they werent going to change their ways.

they had one hookah just for double apple, another hookah for "exotic" flavors like Sex on the beach and white peach.

they also taught me a new way to stack the coals to increase heat and decrease burning, i do that sometimes.

due to the strong maltese representation here in the forum, the boys in san diego will start to produce a kinnie-flavored shisha these days wink.gif

yeah i used to go to a lounge where they had a special pipe for mint only though. wine in the base is nice, i had grape shisha with wine. also what i liked alot was watermelon with whisky in the base (dno if it was that exact combination, dont blame me if u try it and it sucks tongue.gif)

don't take me too seriously ... i was just joking biggrin.gif
in san diego our shisha-god eric is manufacturing the best shisha in the world, and cause of the fact that he has a horchata flavor, the next drink could be kinnie wink.gif
