I know this will require some Admin intervention, but I think it would be good to have a couple of questions to answer so the registration can be completed. These spam bots do not know the answers and it stopped this crap at the website I run. I know their is a way a Mod can get Admin privilages without accessing the backend of the forum. Hopefully they could spend a little time to do this or give one of you guys Admin status.

There are modifications available for forum software like Invision and phpBB that will allow Admins to grant Moderators access to some parts of the Admin Control Panel (ACP).

By backend do you mean database etc? I don't think the Invision ACP has the feature to run SQL queries in the database or access the forum files, so that should not be a problem.

I have run many forums before, although I am only 21, and the current one I am running, I have set the following question for users when they register:

What is the colour of grass? (put "green")

Bots cannot get past this stage and this stopped my random messages being posted smile.gif

Funny how that misconception is so common....
Though I have made offers to buy the place.

The mods as a whole put a lot of time into running the forum, for nothing but the occasional nice word, the more frequent unkind word, and the oppertunity for world domin...er...out of the kindness of our hearts, ya thats it, and because I love being called names, accused of being a dictator, compared to Hitler, and being challanged to a fight by some Git in the UK. blink.gif
