Why Do You Like Starbuzz So Much?

So here is my story..

Dhuwan started carrying starbuzz so I have tried like 10 flavors and I gotta say.. why do people like this so much?

IMO..

Pros
-good packaging
-consistency of batches
-lots of unique flavors

Cons
-it smells like perfume
-its tastes jus okay
-its not super wet
-no BUZZZZ
-i feel like a bowl of layalina and al fakher last longer.. flavor stays same throughout bowl

So anyways, back to the story..

I was sitting there thinking.. why not make my own tobacco? I have done my research.. packaging, flavoring, glycerin.. now i jus need to figure out where to get bulk raw tobacco..

what you can expect

flavor like tangiers
packaging like starbuzz
and a buzz like pharoah's

hopefully it will be something easy to set up.. probably another reason people like starbuzz, not a lot of ?s about problems, consistent batches

As for your original question: My first experience with Starbuzz was Sex on the Beach. It sounded good, and there are some very positive reviews, so I got some. As a kid I have had some bad experiences with fruit punch, so Sex on the Beach did nothing but make me nauseous. Despite my misfortune, I recognize the quality in Starbuzz. It may not be $20 worth of quality, but it holds its own.

I personally don't think Starbuzz is all that, given the flavours I have tried so far. I am thinkinking AF is superior in many ways. I guess starbuzz does have some unique flavours, I quite like the pumpkin pie, I just wish the flavour was stronger and lasted for longer. Starbuzz tobacco always seems so dry and why are the fruit flavours gritty to the touch?

Starbuzz peach actually smokes first class, but I am not a great fan of peach flavour....Oh well.

Re making your own, give it a try.

I wish a new company would rise to the challenge of combining all of the best elements of other shisha tobacco's. it seems they all have pro's and cons.

Ohh, and BTW, Starbuzz is way too overhyped. And i don't think their batches are consistent at all....for 20 bucks i want perfection... yet i havnt recieved it from them....

all the starbuzz ive tried has been very flavorful, as much as tangiers, and its an easy smoke. so sometimes i dont want a buzz, i jsut want to relax and not buzz. thats why i love starbuzz

thats basically what i am trying to do..

something that has a lot of flavor, decent buzz but nothing ass kicking because it was jus make it too hard for people to pack bowls, and good packaging.. not much else to ask for IMO

Star Buzz packaging.... ( no plastic bags though just vaccum seal)

yea i already know how to make shisha. its fairly simple if you have the right ingredients and i know a kick ass flavoring company.. 100s upon 100s of flavors

i havent had pharoahs so i dont know what type of buzz you are talking about.

and i know its early... but i think your packaging could be like you should have tangiers stored; shallow wide container. i hatemixing shisha up in a little bowl thing.\

starbuzz and tonic both seem the same to me. the flavors are there but not superb. wetness is mediocre. i really think nothing compares to tangiers...which kinda sucks because its such a good product and people who dont know how to pack it throw dirt on its good name.

anyway...yea sb and tonic are not all that. i think alot of people like it because they cant figure out how to properly set up tangiers or because they want convenience. plop in bowl light and smoke.

I like Starbuzz but I don't like paying double the price of most tobacco for it. I have 4 flavors of it and will probably not buy anymore for a while. If only it was $10-$12 a tin vs $20.

Um for me, it was one stellar night smoking cappocchino starbuzz out of a friend's pipe. WOW that was good. Overall, I enjoy starbuzz because they have a lot of good flavors (not AMAZING, but good and reliable) with great smoke and light buzz (I don't smoke cigs and I don't like a head-pounding buzz).

I think Al-fakher is very close to tangiers when it comes to flavor so if you haven't tried AF out Id do so.

I wouldn't say I like Starbuzz more than I like Layalina.

I've only tried two flavors from Starbuzz (Christmas, and Wildberry mint [or something like that]), and it was definitely a better smoke than some other brands I've tried. Also, it is one of the few honey/glycerin based shishas that doesn't give me a pounding headache after 5 minutes of smoking, which is definitely a plus. I can't smoke Al Fakher, Pharoah, or any similar brands at all due to that problem.

My honest opinion is that it isn't worth what they charge, but it isn't a bad brand. Edited December 30, 2007 by Ralleac

This thread is interesting because I was under the impression that people would lob of their right nut if it meant getting their hands on some Starbuzz. A lot of posts on this forum are in high support of the overpriced can of tobacco, but I guess I was wrong.

I definately agree with Ralleac. That its still a good shisha but just a bit overpriced. I think it should be 15 not 20.

Yea I think SB is a little over priced also. I enjoy it though and have a few cans. Has pretty good flavors. That is why I smoke it. Def not for a buzz.
