PipeSmokeMcGee
so when you make a fruit bowl, do you pretty much carve all the inside out? for example, with an orange, do you just use the rind? how does it affect the draw?BEN
jmexx
I'm not sure if it'd work with an orange.I would think you'd have to use a fruit with some "meat" inside. For instance, a pear, an apple, maybe a cantolope. If done right, it's not supposed to affect the draw. Then again, it depends on the fruit you choose. I don't think you'd get much with an orange just because the juices would never let your tobacco cook.Any confirmation on that?Jon

King Mo
one little tip so things don't get messy if you use an apple for instance (if you don't know already) is to use foil inside. so when the apple is cored and the tobacco part carved out, lay a sheet of foil on the inside with holes in it (similar to what you put on toop). Stick the tobacco into this foil cradle you've made, then cover the apple-head with foil as per a normal head. this stops tobacco falling into your pipe which is common. U don't need alot of foil in the inside, just a small-ish perforated sheet that covers the hole
