This Hookah Is Hot

Recommended Posts

Yea thats for sure a Mya. I have one here we adapted to a 3 hose. In fact i woke up walked in the main shop and made the adaption as soon as I walked in. lol They smoke like a forest fire. You do need to smoke a few bowls through them just to kill any acrylic flavor that may be in it. I am sure the longer they sit on a shelf before being bought the less chance of a plastic taste. But in general they are a great Hookah. My old shop uses them for their lounge hookahs. I will say that the new owner uses an Egyptian and a Mya QT. But for the customers its all about the Mya Acrylic 3 hose.

If it says Mya you can`t go wrong.

Mya downstems are thicker than any other pipes. It's kinda like having a built in Nammor. Then when you add a Nammor.... You know what i'm sayin.

Don't judge it based on it's Acrylic base. It won't break easy like your glass one does... And it's a Mya stem.. so it's unrustable and thick as a tank.

Just picked up one of these last week. As others have stated, it is an MYA and it is a great smoker.

I echo two initial issues with it: At first there's a harsh perhaps plasticy taste which is probably attributable to the acrylic; it's difficult to clean. The upper shaft is much more narrow than typical and a smaller brush is required.

I'm still experiencing some of the nasty taste, but it seems to be better over time.

Check your downstem. Alot of people who have purchased Myas (and a bunch of these being Acrylics) have found a strip of glue inside their stems. Scrub it out with a brush, use lemon juice, baking soda, cleaner, anything, see if it comes out. The attribute a plasticy taste to the acrylic which is not true, and later on get a strip of glue from their stems.

Great Advice!!! I had noticed a lump of something in the downstem and after reading your post gave it a good scrub to dislodge it. Sure enough, a 6 inch piece of plasticine crap came out.

Have to get back with you on whether it is that which contributes to the nasty taste, but looks like a likely candidate.

Thanks for your post.
