What Was Your First And Your All Time Classic

Recommended Posts

Okay so I want to know what the first flavor was you all tried the first time you had hookah
and what has been your all time classic.

Most of us from the middle east and Indian subcontinent...would say our first (my first) was NAKHLA DOUBLE APPLE

and my all time classic old school has been NAKHLA DOUBLE APPLE (so harsh, so strong)

since then double apple has been my fav...i went from NAKHLA to Al Fakher, and now my new fav is SB (star or sky), i never really liked the Layalina DBapple, or the Fumari DBapple

I think that most of us who discovered it either in the middle east, or because of our middle eastern heritage are
part of the nahkla brigade [Allmost allways double apple tongue.gif]

JD - Lost his Nargile Cherry to Nahkla Double Apple!

Maybe next time I smoke it, I'll add water/orange soda to the base tongue.gif

EDIT: Ah, didn't read clearly >_< I thought dis was about your FAV flavor hahaha my bad

My first was AF grape...I didn't like it too much because it became harsh. But the first flav I smoked when I got my first hookah was AF Strawberry biggrin.gif Edited by JillyIsJustKidding

Double Apple at some Turkish restaurant in Chicago... no idea what brand they have there, as none of the waiters/waitresses ever know.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was Nakhla.

Stopped going there though... $20 a bowl. Bleh. Besides, I think the Illinois smoking ban put the fire out on their hookah service anyways.

LOL good ol nakhla..double apple was the only thing out...then slowly they had apple, cherry, grape, and rose...man it was great now that i look back...it was cheap, harsh, strong, and had very very little taste..ahh that was the good days when things were simple...and to us that was the best back then, cuz we didnt know any better. Now we got like amazing flavors and brands that have revolutionized the market...and i wonder why people still go back to nahkla, i would never smoke it..well exceapt for double apple.

I was in ATL, and i went to a few hookah lounges there...and they will serve you nahkla, only one of them served me al fakher after I bitched at him for not having proper stuff, i guess it was his personal stash...see that pisses me off when lounges serve you cheap nahkla, and charge you 15 bucks for the hookah..like what the hell!!!!!!!!!!

My very first shisha session was with a Honeydew Flavor (unknown brand) over at Tempe's King Tut's Cafe.

Without wanting to thread hi-jack...

I often return 'home' to nahkla flavours. It's a hughly under estimated tobacco [IMHO] and i love the
flavours of mandarin, cherry and double apple.

If i just want a more authentic reminder of home, I'll cook up a bowl of Nahkla biggrin.gif

nakhla double apple was my first hookah smoke and i still love it. and like JD said, nakhla is a very underestimated brand.
you always have to pull the tobacco apart in small pieces, you cant just throw it in a bowl and smoke like with al waha or layalina.

My first time? mmmm. I suppose it has to be when I was 6 years old. My grandad (in Bangladesh) used to smoke hookah hardcore, with tomoc. He left the hookah to go to the loo, and I while he was away, I pulled few puffs. It was horriable.

My first was double apple of unknown origins. We were smoking out of a hookah some college kids from Ashland brought to the beach with them.

I've tried various flavors from Layalina, Al-Waha, Nakhla, Al Fakher, Pharoah, Starbuzz, and one from Fusion. So far Layalina's Kiwi has been my favorite, but after trying Fusion's Stawberry-kiwi I'm tempted to buy a few more when I get a chance to stop at the smoke shop again. I might give Nakhla another chance too. After a few bad experiences w/ rose and some other flavors I've been avoiding it completely. Edited by Ralleac
