Headache :(

Recommended Posts

It is nicotine that usually gets you nauseous. I have had this problem with full bodied cigars since I am new to it. I think the same could be applied to shisha. If the tobacco used is very "potent"(IDK how else to describe it) it would have more nicotine usually and cause you to feel sick. I haven't heard of CO2 posioning, but that could be a problem also.

Could be, but AF isn't supposed to be particularly high in nicotine content is it?

I read on these forums somewhere that AF did have higher nicotine levels than other tobacco huh.gif

I have been managing my smoking better today... if I feel as if I am getting a headache I immediately stop and go outside to get some fresh air smile.gif

This side-affect is called "hookah-head" by some of us. and yes, most all of us get it from time to time. i feel your pain, bro.

Water. Drink it, it's the nectar of life.

yes, drinking water is essential, as Zen said, but don't think that water alone will keep you from getting hookah-head. once or twice, i'd drink so much water that i'd have to pee every five minutes (i was REALLY hydrated) and i still had a major headache. you have to also have food in your stomach and yes, taking good, deep breaths between hits is needed, too.

most of us know that tylenol won't help, but i do know something that will: take a shower. something about running the hot water over your face/head/body will help it go away a little.

hope this helps.
