What The Hell Is This?

I've never bought funnels from HS, only MNH, so I was a little surprised when my new "large funnel hookah bowl" from HS was smaller than my many mediums which I had bought off of MNH. Thinking I had missed something, I verified my receipts, which clarified that the names were in fact large and medium, and then checked to see they were both manufactured by Tangiers, which according the desc., they both were. The only thing I could think of otherwise was that I had an ordering error from HS, but a quick visit to the site will show you that they only sell the large model.

I think I might have seen this before, I can't remember if I did, and I can't find the thread, so I figured I'd just bring it up anyways and say HS: You disappoint me. This is the first time, so no big deal, I don't plan on spending my money elsewhere except MNH occasionally, but paying 3 bucks extra for a "large" bowl and getting one smaller than the medium... is annoying to say the least. I was planning on getting a huge shipment of bowls later this month along with my beginning of the year huge purchase, but I think I will shift that part over to MNH. I bought a large Phunnel from HS and a small and medium from HC. The Medium from HC is bigger then my Large from HS and the small is about the same size as the large from HS, maybe a little smaller ring from the HC small. I have not used the Medium from HC yet, it is HUGE. The small from HC and the large from HS are the ones I use now I can smoke them for 6 plus hours, of course not at the same session.

yea its def wierd if they are both of the same manufacturer. i bought my med and large phunnel when they first came out on mnh so the large is bigger than the med. i havent had to order a new one because i have yet to break either luckily.

the main problem is that they are hand made, When i get shipments of 20 or so they are ALL different sizes...

Plus there always seems to be confusion about medium vs. large.

I have a small from MN and a large from MN (well, i gave it to some friends) and i'm pretty sure if i saw a medium i could tell it was a medium. the large was HUGE! i think he actually designed them to cut doughnuts for Krispy Kreme!

i bet its a mislabel on H-S's part in that its large in comparison to the other bowls they sell.

I would contact them and i'm sure they could try and work something out. maybe not a refund, but give you a break on another order or something like that. H-S is pretty good about things like that if you aproach them in a nice way.

Knowing that though, I might end up ordering a funnel from HS. I want a small funnel and I was contemplating ordering from HC but knowing that HS sells a smaller one, I might end up ordering from them. Plus free shipping isnt a bad deal.

There does, and has, been some confusion of the small/medium/large bowls.

I allways have stuck to medium - It's never failed me.

You might want to try PM'ing / Emailing Eric to get some final clarification.

It's possible that the bowls have been mis-labled at Eric's factory and/or because they are all hand made
that this is a variance that just comes with hand made items?
