Bryantos
This is the first time I've ever been able to smoke in my house due to parental anal-ness. Its not that my parents wouldn't let smoke inside, its that they wouldn't let me smoke at all.For all of you who can smoke your lungs into a tar shrivled lump...I hate you. I'm enjoying this too much. By the way, I'm enjoying Layalina Passion Fruit. To turn this into a decently usefull thread...Why does hookah smoke not linger like smoke from cigars, cigerettes, or other smoking devices like tobacco pipes? I've never understood that. It dissapates very quickly. (Sorry if dissapates was used incorrectly, but I think you know what I mean.)

(Sorry if dissapates was used incorrectly, but I think you know what I mean.)Do you have a game plan of moving out of your parent's house or are you going to be there a while longer? You're going to have a field day when you have your own place and are able to smoke whenever and wherever you please. With cigarettes, you're smoking dried up, chemically enriched tobacco with paper. It's probably a combo of the two. With shisha, the only thing cooking is the fluffy, flavor enriched, juicy, tobacco. Whomever discovered the hookah and shisha xxxx years ago I praise you. Bryantos
I'm not leaving their house for awhile. They support me way too much for me to up and leave. My friends have tried moving out, and that turned into a disaster. I would never want to go through what he with through with his roomates. They all pretty much up'd and left him to pay for his appartment by himself, which was impossible with his income.Staying at home is too finacially easy for me to move out. I'd much rather sit here and smoke around their schedule. =DI never thought about the paper burning also.
mushrat
Let us know how explaining the eventual burn on the floor or counter goes.I must say that shows a major lack of respect, you want to live off them because you are to lazy to support yourself, but you aren't willing to obey the rules of their house? Ah well, kids and parents...glad I don't have any of the former and don't talk to the later.
Canon
you could go to hookah bars aswell if you really need to smoke, theres a few nice ones in jacksonville.

Its already saved me from a small burn mark that could have occured. My friend already put a burn mark on my moms wicker furniture outside, but thats when she let me smoke out there, and she knows it wasn't my fualt.I have the full utmost respect for my parents, just not my fathers hatrid for hookah. As for the hookah bars in Jacksonville, they're not worth the drive. The Casbah is overpriced, and two of the waitresses continue to flirt with me. The other closest one I know of is an hour drive away.

EternalSoil
so, your mom is cool with it right?at least thats a start. as long as you smoke outside and are nice about things and be careful you should be ok.now if you were totaly hiding it... eh... i hid cigarettes for the longest time... and i did smoke in the house before asking my mom but when i told her or she found out she was like "whatever"
MrMoodz
I hear ya about not being financially ready to move out yet. I didn't leave my parent's house until I earned my Bachelor's degree on got a full time fair paying job. A lot of my friends w/out scholarships or grants moved out while trying to go to college and they got their *sses kicked financially.

I didn't leave my parent's house until I earned my Bachelor's degree on got a full time fair paying job.Thats what I plan to do too.Well, my parents wont let me sleep over at any of my friends houses and i have to catch the midnight bus home when im out unless its a special rare occasion. Sometimes its a bummer, especially when most of your friends stay out later and you're having a good time. the not being allowed to sleep at friends houses is particularly saddening.. Hopefully all that will change in 2 years.. i just keep telling myself..September 2009 man!...*Edit* Oh but they let me smoke my hookah at home. i just smoke it outside like on the roof or something and when my dad's not home, out of respect to them cos they dont really like it Edited January 3, 2008 by mathuv

My living room usually gets pretty smokey for a while after we start up the hookah.

Cause it's not directly burning the tobacco, there's no additives to the tobacco, and your mostly msoking vaporized glycerine which doesn;t have a lingering smoke smell.Just don't smoke Tangiers inside, the smell of the flavor wil linger for a long time. kornkitten42
Tha Casbah is better hookah wise than the sahara. The Sahara's food is better than casbah. Prices for hookahs are better at casbah than the sahara. LOL. I prefer casbah for hookahs and if i just want to smoke. It's about a 45 minute drive but when i'm in jax i don't mind going there.Sahara is 30 minute from me.There is also another hookah lounge in san marco? I think it is? I can't remember the name though.
