Lol @ Hotel Computers

Recommended Posts

im at the drury hotel using their computer..
i cant go to certain threads because of keywords. kind of annoying but funny at the same time. the reason its blocked is because of the tobacco..

what if i was in the tobacco business? (these computers are meant for business purposes)

Edit: i cant click on any threads with tobacco in the name. so if mods could edit all the threads with tobacco and put shisha or something for the night that would be awesome.. (im not being serious Edited by Canon

there are a few things you can do... first I would try going to http://www.unblockall.net/ and then typing in hookahforum.com in the address bar at the bottom. This method is basically a in-page proxy. the second method that you could try is by using a proxy to bypass completely the browser. Basically you do this for firefox:

click on the tools menu
then click options
then click the advance tab
then click on the network tab
then click on the settings button
then click on the manual proxy configuration circle
then type in 123.232.9.185 in the first box
then type in 8080 in the box next to it
then click ok
then click ok
then you should be set... infact I am using this right now to post this :-) good luck!

Where do you get your proxy IPs from? The free ones I find that are in lists don't work 90% of the time. I used to use them for school until I graduated. I just found out the google method awhile back. Which is (I can't give step by step, because I've never done it) :

Google has a translator, english encluded. If you just tell it to translate the page in english, then it uses google as a proxy because it goes through google to translate it. Tah-dah! Free proxy and free translation all in one! tongue.gif

If you search google for "proxy server" then you will get some pages that have lists of ips... you just simply keep on trying them until you get one that works and stick with it until it stops working... or you can do what me and my friend did and setup a proxy server running off our dsl/cable lines so that we would always be sure to have it at school... lol the good days.
