hookah_hoop
I just bought a 1 kilo bag of Al-Ajdad coals. They are about 1" thick and 6" long cylinders. I have been breaking them into several pieces about an inch long to use with my hookah and I've been "lighting" them on an electric coil. I use the term "lighting" very loosely in regards to these coals. Here's the problem:They start to light and ash over but when they are removed from the coil they don't continue to burn well. They certainly don't burn evenly. And furthermore they have large chunks in them that don't burn at all. Everytime I've tried using these I end up tossing them and switching over to a 3K quick light disc because the Al-Ajdad coals are not hot enough to make my shisha smoke. What the heck is going on here? Any advice? Any help? Am I doing something wrong that I don't know about? Or, do I have 2.2 pounds of coal to try grilling some steak with when spring comes back around?Any advice at all would be appreciated.
shisha fan
those are probably the same as nour coals. i had the same problem, especially with the chunks that won`t burn. do yours also smell like barbeque coals?
EternalSoil
well if you are lettign the get red hot all over and a little ashy then you have them lit well.if you are taking them off and putting them right on the foil to start smoking there shouldnt be a problem.when you inhale the air going past the coals should keep them lit.if they still go out try a windcover or if you dont have one make one out of foil.
