Does hookah leave a nice smell or a strange smell
my roommate doesnt want me to smoke it in the tv room
but i cant smoke without the tv
will he notice?

It usually lasts like an hour... Only thing I would suggest is if you're using a quicklight you do it outside or near a window since they stink and smoke like hell

I have electrical air cleaner which uses somekind of magnetism to collect particles from air (not a good explanation, I know). If I use that, smoke smell goes away like 10 minutes. If I dont use that, smell stays ~2-3 hours.

Device is marketed by name Elixair E400 in Europe. No ozone cleaners, because they are not good for health!

If you smoke frequently in the house, the smell will start to linger, but its a hard to place undefinable smell. My landlords stopped by the other day and smelled something funny and asked if we were smoking in the house, (I had rushed around picking up the hookahs and all evidence of doing as such before opening in the door, because the jackasses decided to show up unannounced) and I just said I burned a lot of incense in my room, and sometimes it lingers. They seemed to buy it. Moral of the story, if your room mate is set on being a cunt about it, make sure to burn incense or spray some Ozium around the room after smoking, or he will notice something is off eventually.

Yes, with "active charcoal filter" for smells.

Um... why is it that you absolutely *can't* smoke hookah without watching the telly?

On topic: light the QL outside, crack the window open a bit (or a lot if it's warm enough) and it will go away soon enough. If (s)he still has a problem, say that if you can't smoke hookah there you'll start eating canned beans and farting prolifically while watchin the telly laugh.gif

Hookah is on the same level as scented candles or fragrant cooking, in my mind, mostly because you aren't actually burning the tobacco. Smoking cigarettes/cigars is not officially permitted in my rented house, but hookah is fine. Edited by gaia.plateau
