Cabaret
Ok, I have a stove that is of the kind where it has no exposing coils, it's a fiberglass top that is smooth and the coils are placed under the glass.Well today I was lighting coals and I had this idea of putting foil on the stove under the coals as to try and cut down the mess I made, well I came back and took the coals off once they were ready and went to take the foil off...and to my suprise the foil had MELTED to the stove.Do not EVER do this! I feel like an idiot...and it's going to take forever to get that shit off.On a more positive side note I smoked a Tangiers bowl today and it actually WORKED, first time i've smoked Tangiers successfully, so yay for me!>_> Edited January 8, 2008 by Cabaret

Ralleac
Buy a plug-in electric burner from Walgreens or something if you're in the U.S. It cost me $9.99, is portable, and much easier to clean than my stove. Dom
don't feel bad. i did the same thing on a stove that exposes the coils. except in my case, i could have killed my parrot. yeah, for some reason people have had thier pet birds keel over in their cage from the fumes or whatever when you heat foil up too much. when i smoke the hookah, i have to have the bird upstairs in her bedroom while i smoke and she's hasn't had any problems. (yes, she has her own room. a cage in her room upstairs and another cage in the dining room downstairs. she also shares the room with the pet snakes and spiders we have. lol) i felt really bad and if i ever wanted to use that burner again, i had to get the foil off of there. so i tried a wire brush, a scraper, and steel wool. Finnaly, when i used sand paper, it came off and now, i have definately learned from my mistake. i wish i had read this before. lol.
