Geiseric
My friend Pete and I spent about 5 hours on this as a way of venting the anger we felt at the drama I will post about later. None the less, its freaking cool as hell(pun unintended). I'm dressed up like I used to back in high school because I haven't done laundry in like 2 weeks and I'm all out of clothes. The fog makes getting a good image really hard, and adds a really eerie effect to the pictures. Edited January 8, 2008 by Geiseric

Geiseric
Yeah, we really had some rage to work off, as I said before, it took about 5 hours, and we didn't really work off our mad until about hour 4. Then I came in here and posted about it and got mad again. The smoke was really good though, but I only smoked like 20 minutes because I was so damn cold by that time and had so much shit to do left tonight. All I have left now is to finish tidying up the holes in the carpet that I've patched so I don't lose my deposit when I move out.

Snoopy1966
Yeah I use to call it that...lol I have not heard that for a long time. Did you ever hear the 12 days of Christmas by Bob and Doug? I am sure you have. The Great White North! I used to go watch the second city players in Chicago all the time. What a hoot!
gaia.plateau
What do you call them then? Cappies? Yeah I've heard that tune once or twice, it's apart of my heritage haha.Tuque is the Canadian bastardization of the French word Toque, which is simply a woman's brimless hat. Geiseric
I'll post better pics tonight when I smoke again, those were taken at 2 in the morning with a fog so thick that you could barely see 10 feet in front of you. The low light exposures weren't turning out right, so flash had to be used, but it refracted off the fog. Geiseric
Wow, so this was one *ucked up day. As I said, I was working on making the fort bigger, and then I would smoke in it and take new pics. I was planning on doing this with the Syrian (with an egyptian base) pipe in the last pictures. It is my last working larger pipe, as all of my others have succumbed to physical abuse and wear and tear. I was planning on getting a new batch sometime near the end of this month.Anyways, so we (My friend Damian and I) were putting the finishing touches on the outside wall, and we had the hookah set up to smoke with a bit of lime Tangiers (I have really grown to like their lime, used to hate it) in my LAST funnel bowl, the rest having been broken by my friends and I in our clumsiness. People were driving by, slowing down to look at the fort, then speeding up and leaving, so the traffic was pretty heavy in front of my house. As I put on the last cap on the front wall, I heard a *clink* noise inside the fort. I looked to Damian, who was outside the fort with me. We both ran for the front, where we saw some piece of shit kid running off with my hookah. I took chase, but he jumped into his friends waiting car and drove off. The license plate was covered in mud, and I noticed nothing outstanding about him, so I didn't even bother reporting the theft. *UCK THIS SUCKS! I am stuck using my minis and medium hookahs until my friend Taylor gets back from Eagan and I can use his new Mya with him.I did end up finishing the fort anyways, so I will upload some pics tomorrow, smoking out of my little disco pumpkin or something. Geiseric
WOW. I am impressed with myself. My friend Karl and I put in about 7 hours today shopping and working on the fort. It now has a roof, electricity, lighting, and heating. We also sealed up the windows to keep in heat and to keep people from looking in for things to steal. I plan on spending most of my time out here now.Pics will be up in like an hour, Karl said he would email them to me when he got home.

.cOLt.45.
Stole your hookah?out of your fort?(JD Voice) Bring the bowmen to the towers. Ready the knights. (Random epic war movie speech) Or just have your hookah surrounded by a static electricity field that shocks the testicles and/or ovaries (lol) out of anyone not wearing the personal static field eliminator...lets see em try to smoke with no balls...oh wait... Geiseric
Well, plans have been made for tomorrow. The roofing we have on is temporary, tomorrow we will be building a sloped roof to have the snow fall off, as it can't really support the weight, we tested it, and it collapsed after about an inch. We also plan on adding another space heater too. Landlords won't be happy about the electricity bill this month. Oh well, *uck em, I can't smoke inside, they are gonna heat me while I smoke outside. We are thinking about putting in a trip wire alarm after the hookah theft incident two days ago, as Karl has one sitting unused in his basement, but it would require some re-soldering so it may not happen if we don't have the time. The door could also use some real work...Sorry, no outside pics this time, but I will have some and some better inside pics as well tomorrow, if all goes well. I'm smoking out of the pumpkin, with a tiny bowl, due to my last funnel being STOLEN along with my last good pipe, but that will be fixed tomorrow when my minion Taylor gets back with his new Mya.So, here is the new inside of the smoking fort. Hope you like. As you can see, we added another 10 in. or so to the top, smoothed that out, filled in the windows, sealed up the cracks in the place, and then added the roofing and mount for the door (old hospital blanket I nicked from my last job) What you can't see from the inside is the sheer size of the thing, it takes up about 3/4 of our front yard. .cOLt.45.
Holy shit dudeThats so fuckin awesome. But wouldnt the space heater melt the snow to the point of it collapsing over you and your hookah and electronics?
Snoopy1966
Nice fort, what was the temp when you were out there? You have your jacket off so it must have been comfy in there. If you have proper ventilation, the heater should not play to much of an effect. That is how the snow campers do it. They even light a fire inside, and that is more closed up area.
