ASUSEAN1
won't the space heater melt the walls?edit: looks like the last couple of people asked the same ? Edited January 10, 2008 by ASUSEAN1
Geiseric
As Snoopy said, the heat goes up and out. I used it for about 6 hours last night, and the top 2 rows of bricks got a LITTLE softer on the outside. We let all of the bricks freeze into ice overnight before doing any work or heating the inside, so they are pretty solid. Once we put in a better roof we may have to make a heat release slot in it, but this depends on how good the roof works. After 6 hours of the place being about 60 degrees, though, I'm not really worried about that aspect.
Geiseric
Well here is a little update, we really sealed up the roof, it now has a layer of plastic boards, then cardboard, and then plastic sheeting to keep the cardboard dry and in place, all weighed down by snow on the roof. I will put up some outside and better inside pics tomorrow hopefully, its gotten really nice.

Hands down. Period.JDI said it once... I'll say it again.BEST HOOKAH THREAD & PHOTOS EVER. I am so -ing jealous it's not even funny. I would sell my left testicle to have enough snow to build a Hookah Fort...Bring the bowmen to the towers. Ready the knights.

Snoopy1966
I have to agree with JD on that one. That shows your dedication to the Hookah sport! The pics are great and it sweet you get it comfortable in there. With the harsh MN weather, you should not have problems unless you get the sub zero temps outside. Geiseric
Welllll, I got some outside photos taken, but becuase I wanted myself in them, I had a friend take the lot of 'em, and it turns out he doesn't know how to take a damn picture in focus. So I spent some time in Ps trying to clear them up.. but I can't do much with absolute shit to start with. So here they are... but they suck. Anti-climatic, I know.BTW, some new inside ones for you, too.

bolt in blue
That fort has to be just about the coolest thing I've ever seen! Wish we got more snow here in VA.Is that a toaster oven in one of the pics?

Snoopy1966
Yes JD make this a sticky on the General Chit Chat. Everyone has got to see this no matter what season it is! Do you have to bring out all your stuff every time you go out? I would imagine so because I don't think cold and computers go good together.Thats cool, eats, computers and Hookah, what else could a man need well besides the obvious there
Geiseric
Well that's actually my 360, but regardless, yeah, I bring it all out every time, mostly because I live *on the outer ring of* the poor district of a moderately sized city, and I don't want a recurrence of the hookah incident. To be honest, it could use a cooler. Made of snow. Its happening today. We noticed that the fort lacked a place to cool our brew, so we are going to build a cooler in the corner of the room, along with building out the walls and making the door MUCH smaller today.I AM SO BORED WITHOUT SCHOOL. Can't wait for class to start again, the fact that I have put like 25 hours into this fort shows how freaking bored I am. Geiseric
Not sure if anyone cares, but I'm still using it every day to smoke, and it's still standing strong. I even built a door for it, which allows me to get the temp up to about 65 degrees f.Someone tried to steal my table today, but couldn't get it through the door. As they drove away they screamed FAGS! back at us. People are fucking morons.
