the hookah hitman
I have used one. They have a glass screen which is great. but it doesn't fit correctly, it doesn't always burn hot enough and it lets lots of charcoal in. It is basically a glass disc the size of a quarter with two pencil eraser sized holes in it to let in heat (and ash). Plus, Smiley is an ass, he insults people on forums and trys to convince people that using foil or metal screens is going to kill us. check the hookahholics forum for more of Smiley's antics. Oh ya, and his bowls are $30!!!
mushrat
I'm not sure who smiley is...but hookahcompany is run by a guy named George, unless I'm getting confused in my old age again, and george has always done right by me, as well as the majority of the members here I believe. Am I off base?
ZAP
Smiley is the guy that makes these bowls. He runs a hookah bar somewhere.I was going to buy one of these a few months back directly from Smiley before Hookahcompany got them. He was very friendly and was offering freebies too. Lots of emails were exchanged and the seal was pretty concrete and I asked him for his Paypal account to send payment to and went quiet. After a couple more emails he started to give me grief and was saying that I only want one so I can steal his idea and call it my own product What a dork. Vlax
most of the metal screens are made from tin or steel

montage
Thanks guys... Also, I must say I've been using some of the tips found here at the forum and results have been a complete turn around from my previous hookah smoke outs. Thick tasty smoke.Prior I would always get burnt thin smoke. I think I have it down now. I smoked 4 bowls in the last 24 and all are consistent. montage
One last question on topic:Anyone know where to buy Tin Foil instead of Aluminum foil? That Aluminum has me think...umm I forgot what i was going to say :)Thanks!
mushrat
zap: ahh ok i thought folks were saying george was the problem since your link went to hookahcompany. I don't know if you really want to smoke off tin...there is a reason they went to aluminium. If you are concerned with the possible alzheimers connection (see a multitude of posts on the subject from a few months ago) then just get a screen. $.
