asi007
Hello there,I am a producer of Hookah in china, although i am not chinese. There is a company here in china that wrote the Hookah as a patent here and drive the entire hookah industry crazy by closing factries to competators. They can apply this "Hookah patent" because they are connected to the right gov't people. Now, in order for me to brake this patent i need to proof that before 2001 there was existing an hollow hookah base. Now, many patents have been registered arround the world on hookahs long before 2001. If someone has a diagram of patent or any other piscal proof that the hollow base was existing prior to 2001 please send me an e-mail - asi007@hotmail.comReward for information that can be used to achieve the target!!!RegardsAsi

SafeSearchOff
seems to me that the company this man would be searching to take down is Mya itself... if you think chinese hookah, there are like 3 brand names htat people actually know.
MechAnt
A picture of this "hollow" base would be vastly helpful.
SafeSearchOff
i think he's either talking about open hearts... or vases. but the vases are a given thats a bullshit patent if they patented vases.

MechAnt
That looks like a common chamber which is rather common on many pipes these days albeit different styles. Syrians from a certain retailer has four holes leading to a common chamber that acts as a natural diffuser. I don't see how that patent is very viable seeing as this is a very common design. The idea now is to look on previous patents for hookah and to see if someone already wrote a patent on the entire product and also show a drew of this common pipe.that's the way for me to break them!!! SafeSearchOff
well i mean, think about it. china is all about making knock-off goods at a cheap rate. theres alot of chinese knockoff companies, like mya, mitsuba, and the junior hookah peoples. now, if one of these major companies can get buddy buddy with a gov. official and get them the rights to a patent like this, they can essentially have a monopoly in china and run the board on the knock-off hookah market. ZenSilk
I think this whole thing sounds like a bunch of bull crap...why would one of us have a hand-drawn patent for a common chamber hookah design? I'm pretty sure that it was designed somewhere in China... OK, now, lets say this guy gets his Patent design. Then he copyrights it. So now there are mass produced Chinese SHIT hookahs with common chambers and aluminum cores (like all chinese hookahs except Myas). So now you can't buy Mya's, only Chinese knockoffs, total shit. ANd this guy obviously didnt write the patent, it was someone else....so why does he get it?? if he did write it, he's know where it is now. he just wants Copyright control on common chamber hookahs. Every single Chinese hookah except Mya Saray have AMUMINUM cores. SO if anyone but Mya is making Chinese hookahs, then we are fucked in regards to quality. Though I think he's just trying to break their patent. If its proven it was done before these guys, then he won't be able to patent it either, just manufacture them in peace. EternalSoil
i thought patents didnt go across certain country lines?which is what allows chinese knockoffs in the first place?so, unless there is a patent on common chamber hookahs in the USA, i could make as many as i wanted if they had that patent in china right??
