asi007
QUOTE (ZenSilk @ Jan 10 2008, 02:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I think this whole thing sounds like a bunch of bull crap...why would one of us have a hand-drawn patent for a common chamber hookah design? I'm pretty sure that it was designed somewhere in China... OK, now, lets say this guy gets his Patent design. Then he copyrights it. So now there are mass produced Chinese SHIT hookahs with common chambers and aluminum cores (like all chinese hookahs except Myas). So now you can't buy Mya's, only Chinese knockoffs, total shit. ANd this guy obviously didnt write the patent, it was someone else....so why does he get it?? if he did write it, he's know where it is now. he just wants Copyright control on common chamber hookahs.Hi, if i am telling you that there is a war here in china on this hookah market, you better believe it!!!At this stage mitsuba is trying to take everyone out and than to increase prices!!!Therefore, if you have the information to assist to break their patent before it will be too late, pls let me know.If you don't, have a great life. Bulldog_916
Small hookah makers will always survive FAR after the Chinese try to put a patent on the design. The design started in the middle east. They can only increase prices so much before people refuse to buy the product unless it's god's gift to hookahs. Chinese hookah makers, save for a few, have proven to be of lower quality over all than their hand-made Egyptian counterparts. Mya probably has some sort of patent on their stem design, but I could be wrong.
ZenSilk
i will have a great life, cause my Mya will last years more, and there's nothing wrong with Egyptian or Syrian Rigs. Hell, then everyone with a Mya right now will have a collector hookah!

The Common Chamber in a hookah stem makes it easy for a machine to make and a factory to mass produce. The only Chinese hookah distribution company that uses true "Stainless Steel" in their stems is Mya. Every single other hookah i have seen made in China is Aluminum Cored and a shitty hookah in general. Every single other company, other than Mya, produces shit hookahs not worthy of the American Market.
