DrShisha
Hey People. Well basically iv only got clay heads at the moment and so thats usually my bowl but whenever i pack a bowl and put the coal on, i just get all the juices coming out onto the tray. I think thats a waste! as then the shisha isnt toasting properly, so less taste/smoke etc. Anything i can do to stop this. It all just runs out onto the tray on the first set of coals!!. Any ideas/tricks? thanks! (You can't say get a phunnel! )
camelflage
tighter grommets will do a little, but once the juice runs through the bottom of the bowl its pretty much gone. you could alter your bowls to have smaller holes maybe, or cover up the middle hole. mushrat
besides less juicy tobacco, I'm fraid not. As he said, you can probably keep the mess down, but it won't stop the juice loss. The one problem with Egyptian style bowls. Atleats with a Syrian head the juices just drip into the water.Think of it as making the experience more authentic. Poro-
A reason to get a phunnel bowl. (If they would be available here, DAMN)One way to reduce amount of dripping is cover bowl with foil, make small holes and then add shisha on foil, and make 2nd level of foil with lots of holes. That sometimes makes the pull difficult, but on small hookahs this is a way to reduce dripping,.

EternalSoil
make a fake phunnel?tighter grommets?as far as it going seeping by the grommet you need a tighter seal.mine does it on the phunnel cause i pack it high but it doesnt get to the tray. MechAnt
Because the egyptian heads are hand made, they do not fit on the grommets with a 100% perfect seal and will leak. Besides, the leaking juices are an indicator that the session is smoking VERY well. I feel good when I see those juices cause I know I set up a mean bowl

kornkitten42
I have this problem too, and it makes it worse because it seeps down the stem! UGH messy hookah clean up, such a pain in the rear! No matter tight i make the bowl on the grommet it still manages to leak!
MechAnt
Seriously, the leaking of the juices is never a problem, its just a pain in the ass to clean. It's just a good indicator of how awesome it is smoking. No worries you people
camelflage
ill invent something to put in a normal bowl to keep the juices from running everywhere
Eifah
I've had this problem with a batch of AF I got last month. I always thought it was a result of the bowl not fitting the stem perfectly. I guess it's not a bad thing after all!
Dunkel!
Since you asked us not to say get a funnel, then get a small Super Chief! LOL Seriously though they hold all the juices and it takes about 23-25 g to pack it. They are great!
