waterboi
That was a really nice review cannon. Very well detailed and lots of pics! I like the hookah also.
Canon
hardest part of the review is giving a hookah that you love a 6/10 on somethign..
PhishPhood
Great review, beautiful hookah. I love the Khalil Mamon stamping on the gold and on the tray.. I dont think I would use tape however to tighten up that grommet. I have no idea what I would use but I dont think tape would be my number one choice. But then again, you have more experience with it than me.Anyway, thanks for the review. As soon as I get my apartment I'm buying a KM. Too bad thats about 6 months away. thecoalition
instead of tape if i need to tighten stuff up i use that white stuff that looks like tape but its not. its typically used in plumbing fixtures but i cant remember what its called
Victim026
Nice Review of a nice hookah, wish I had snagged one before the red and pinks were sold out. As for tape, electrical tape is a well known easy fix for a grommet that doesn't fit quite right.Or as Coalition mentioned the plumbers seal tape works wonders as well... Snoopy1966
Very nice Hookah and review. I like that when members take the time for pics and what they like and dislike. I intend to do the same for my new Hookah. I need to smoke more out of it and get a better feel for the pipe. Great job!

RayVer
I agree reviews are tough. Especially when you do an in depth analysis of every aspect of the product.good review btw.. one thing I would have put is a picture of the wind cover issue. Even with the included bowl the large wind cover I had didn't fit on it because of the large length from the ask tray to the bowl.
ZenSilk
Yeah man, watch that downstem, make sure you don't let it airdry. I don;t get why they just can't make Brass downstems on their(KM's) damn hookahs! It's rather annoying, and i bet more than half of them that are shipped end up being dented, bent, or messed up in some way. On the inside, like you stated, there is usually jagged pieces of jutting out metal from bad cutting, and don't stick your fingers in there (trust me, i know from experience). It surprised me that the heart was solid, that's GREAT to hear. And as always, KM vases kick ass. KM stems are always too tall for windcovers, so you might need to get one of those Fez hat ones that go directly on the bowl, or stack something on the tray in order to place a windcover there. Canon
imo if it actually gets bad ill cut it off and redo it, its not really hard.
gaia.plateau
Good review Canon, as I'm considering the Layjn (sp?) model for the summer (basically identical to the tri-metal) I really appreciate it.9/10 though? Aye de mi. Wouldn't a slightly thicker grommet and unbent stem, along with some cleaner welding, put it up to 10/10 then? And wouldn't that mean that no hookah for the rest of time could ever be better, that the KM tri-metal is the absolute pinnacle of an earthly-hookah? I would think that the cleaning issue would have been a bigger weakness for it. Edited January 10, 2008 by gaia.plateau
Canon
if the downstem was completely redone, the hose ports not be at such an angle, welds cleaner (they did do a good job imo) and the vase be redder (or blue) and the hose not green but red or blue. then it would be a 10/10well also to make it a 10 you would have to ahve the painting be much better, im talking something like mya style. and if the stem was not hollow either. Canon
i like the hose better, the vase color. but as far as the shape, the trimetal wins for me.
