Hookah Health Risks!

Recommended Posts

Guys... Hookah is bad for you. Shame on all of you. It fucking pisses me off when I search "hookah" on Google and get back a MILLION sites bashing hookah and over-emphasizing all of its health risks. Is it just me or is there anyone else out there that understands the health risks and just doesn't give a fuck?

Everyone dies sooner or later. Who the hell wants to live to be 80 and wear diapers anyways?

Am I alone on this?

If you knew that OXYGEN is unhealthy....
there is really not a single thing that is healthy for the human body. It's just that oxygen does less damage. theoretically who breathes less lives longer tongue.gif

I fully understand that hookah is bad for my health but am ready to sacrifice what it takes from me for what it offers me. Nobody lives for ever. Enjoy your lives

The only thing that I dislike about talking about smoking hookah is when the healthy conversation with parents come into play. We all know some people think its better, and others think its worse than cigerettes. Sadly, to come to that conclusion, all they do is look at the hookah pipe and start blurting crap out.

It happens to me all the time and I hate it. dry.gif

However, I did get a really nice buzz off of a black yesterday, and I enjoyed it. Just can't get hooked now. oO Edited by Bryantos

i dont smoke to chop years off my life but i rather find the effects to not be bad? my older brothers smoke cigs every day and cant run, i can smoke hookah every day and ive never coughed up a lung or had any kind of breathing problems so it can't be as bad as cigs. but if it is, ill be dying happy.

Ya well, I'm over 18 so I get to make these kind of decisions for myself.

When customers ask I tell em upright, this aint a healthy hobby. Is it safer than cigs? I tell them on one hand it doesn't have the hundreds of chemicals that cigareete companies put in your tobacco and papers, on the other hand you sit and do it for an hour and a half. So I give them that standard speach and let em chose for themselves. Do I feel a difference from smoking every day for a long as I do smoke. Ya, probably. Won't be running much in the near future thats for sure...

But hey, Moderation in all things, including moderation. tongue.gif

I don't know about anyone else but, I'd much rather die smoking something delicious with a smorgasboard of flavors than a nasty menthol cigarette that has rat poison and acetone in it. biggrin.gif

Some people like Rat Poison though!

Personally, i think you inhale more smoke (of course), but it is much less hazardous because of its lack of dirty chemicals as stated above.

I think it's fairly safe to say that sums up the general opinion around these parts wink.gif

True. I was a fan of rat poison in high school. Then i moved on to bigger, better, and tastier things.

I definately agree with the smoke consumption. I think cig smoke is much worse for you, but you inhale a lot more hookah smoke. So maybe it evens out a little bit. I think there are a lot less particles to get caught in your lungs from shisha, because not as much is being burned.

As far as I can tell, smoke itself doesn't cause ones lungs any lasting damage. It irritates them, sure, but after not smoking for a bit, they'll be back to normal.

So, one should worry less about the amount of smoke they inhale and more about what's in it.
