Does Anyone Smoke A Pipe?

If you are looking for a strong smoke, I suggest getting an English blend like Dunhill 965 if you can still find it. They took it off the market last year, but some people still have it. It is fantastic. Next step down would be some virginia blends. Both of the fore mentioned types will smoke strong and smell great. On the other end of the spectrum you will have the aromatics that will smell fruity but are a very light smoke. It is very common for someone to keep on type of tobacco in one specific pipe. I only smoke virginia and english blends so I rotate them through all four of my pipes. When I was smoking aromatics, I left one of four for that blend. As for pipes, I have one SMS mersham claw, one nording unfinished signature series, one nording finished freeform, and one savinelli linea.

well, english blends aren't really known for their room aroma....kind of on the same line as orientals.

i think i'm looking for something in the aromatics category, unfortunately...i haven't been able to locate what the hell the old high school gym teacher was smoking.....

I still find myself going back to my pipe. I have a few, and I still enjoy them. One of my favorite blends is Dan Blue Note, a really nice aromatic with a vanillaish flavor without being too heavy. Also, Lane's 1-Q is a nice light aromatic. Many pipe/cigar stores sell this, and some even give it a store specific name.

corn cob pipe ($3)
bag of vanilla flavored tobacco ($10)
looking like a more pathetic version of sherlock holmes (priceless)

totally forgot I'm resuscitating some tobacco with whiskey. Thanks, I'll have to get that down.
