How Old Is To Old

Recommended Posts

I bought some Romans 1 time in Parumph Nv. And sure enough smokes like a Cali wild fire but had 0 taste. I had to pull over and find some Tobacco in the trunk i had over looked to get a fresh bowl.

I am sure someone here has a clue for an average life span. I realize Say Nakhla would have less life then say Tangiers or Buzz but whats a good low and High time?

Remember this is shelf life with out being opened.

I am sure many of us want to know.

The newer Nahklas have it seems a better inner wrapper than the older ones which were just a little plastic bag. I have some older Nahklas from about 3 years ago that I probably will not use anymore simply because I've discovered and ordered new ones like Romman Apple and some Af Fakhirs. But I did have a box of mint Nahkla that was fairly decent that I just smoked the other day. But, lol, compared to the Al Fakhir I just bought, the AF is way more juicy.

Just my experience, if it helps.

Smoked 4 year old Al Waha before, it was sealed and was still quite a damn good smoke. Now sealed, most will last a long damn time, but open... All my starbuzz went bad before i could finish it sad.gif Sad EL

You have that the wrong way round Neal.

Nahkla probably outlasts just about everything else because it has that quite dry, yet oily texture.

The most modern tobacco's like layalina, starbuzz ect probably have short shelf life's. Especially once opened.

The general consensus is sealed 'baccy keeps for easily 2 years. Opened, a few months. Nakhla is most definitely drier and from my experience keeps longer even opened. Edited by MechAnt

you'll notice when nakhla goes off.. my friend had a box of unopened mint from lebanon, id reckon it was AT LEAST 4 years old.. i opened it and it was dark brown (like tangiers) and super drippy and smelled off...should have smoked it :S
