SafeSearchOff
So i've been having problemos with my 'net recently. Lots a times (like every 2 minutes or so) my internet will just cut out for like a solid 30 seconds. Im using a built in wireless card to connect to my house's wireless router. Its a new laptop, so the problem sort of confuzzles me, as it only started just yesterday and i got hte laptop for christmas. i dont know if its the routers fault as now and then both me and my brother will be wirelessly hooked up, and sometimes my dad. as far as i know so far its only my PC. and its really annoys me since it keeps lagging me in CS. WTFI R using a Toshiba Satellite A215-S7437. Running Windows Vista Home Premium.HALP!EDIT: i jsut did "diagnose and repair" on my WiFi icon and it says "The TCP Setting is no compatible with your router". Then Says "Turn off the TCP Setting that is not compatible iwth your router. wtf does this mean? how can i change it back if messes with me mores? thecoalition
sounds like you have a firewall turned on somewhere either windows or in the router.i turn off all firewalls because they kill gamingdownload and run winsock fix9/10 times that fixes allif not then you may just have to change some in router settings. you can set up port forwarding on your router so basically the only traffic going through the router when on cs is cs.check www. portforward.comanymore questions pm me or post up again. i think joshman also is in the pc repair business like myself
SafeSearchOff
but i dont htink its a router problem, because my brother uses an identical computer and has no trouble.a few days ago i had an error about a "Driver Power State Failure". I had tried shutting down and watched it for like 10 minutes as it did nothing. I came back from school and it was like that. Then i had to system restore to some unspecified date.i havent downloaded anyhting really onto this computer. I've DL'd AIM, Photoshop TRIAL (no cracks or potential malware), Div-X, iTunes, Ad-Aware, 2 fonts, ski32, Mozilla, an app for windows sidebar. help, ne1?
