Maybe This Is A Stupid Question

Recommended Posts

I think the ears might be connected to taste in the sense that your sinuses run underneath your jaw near your ears. Every time anyone I know (including myself) has a sinus infection, inflammation is also present near the ears. So if your sinuses are near to your ears, hearing certain things could affect your sense of taste. For example, if you were to just hear a sizzling sound like something is frying, even if you werent hungry at the moment it could make you hungry, it happens to me. I guess it's just the brain doing it's thing.

Gaia, how come hearing is connected to taste?

Because my friend Jana's mom can only taste food if she eats a Vlasic pickle first... no other type works... and Vlasic pickles are notoriously loud because of their immeasurable crispiness.

I'm working on a theory. I'll get back to you once I've won at least one nobel prize.
