Luke69
Until now i thought shisha didnt go bad for a loooong time. I am planning to buy a 500grm tub of al fakher grape, but its a year old. I've wanted to try this flavour for a long time. Its been sealed this whole time, is it still ok?
Geiseric
I totally came into this thread thinking the wrong thing....I don't know, I wouldn't smoke it. Whats the ex. date on it? AF has that, if I recall correctly... I kind of fell off the AF bandwagon, its just too sickly sweet.
Canon
if you came on the thread with the intention of saying your age is NOT too old, then you are infact too old my friends..as far as the shisha goes, i think it would still be good.
The Messiah
AF says it's shisha is good for 2 years.
Luke69
So itll be ok after maybe more then two years? When does it usually go bad or flavourless?
erufiku
Depends on a lot of factors... Where and how it was stored, for example. I know it's *sealed* but outside conditions still influence the contents of the tub. Anyway, ask for a photo that would include a production/expiration date. Geiseric
Yeah, it really varies. Even unopened, up here in dry MN I won't smoke anything older than a month after I purchased it, even unopened. It just gets too dry and stale. Its hard to tell with a lot of shisha, because a lot of them don't have expiration dates, but most of what I buy (Tangiers) sells out so fast, its almost certain to be fresh. Why would you want to buy it in such a large quantity, anyways? I hope its really cheap.
ZenSilk
Nah. i'd get it fresher, you don;t want ketchup!

Geiseric
QUOTE ever tried adding glycerin or a honey/water solution to freshen it up?Tried to find glycerin, couldn't. And everyone I asked gave me a funny look. Whatever. I don't really smoke anything but Tangiers now, and I smoke that within a week of getting it, most of the time. Getting a big shipment in a week or so, maybe then it will be a problem. That Grape might have added value, come to think of it. Being that old, its bound to have been made before that flood of bad batches of grape that was such a hot topic a few months back.
Milk With Pulp
I have always wondered how long to keep it sitting, also, for tangiers, is it really worth trying?I know you should give each thing a chance, just wondering how swell it really is? shishboarder
i'd give it a smoke anyway, i doubt any more harm could befall you other than the normal risks of smoking
