They can tarnish, but that isn't really the same thing. Stainless steel can rust, but if you take good care of it I don't think that'll be an issue anytime soon. I've smoked about... eight bowls out of it already, which is a -ton- for me.It's a little rough around the edges, but I love it to death.Although, I just noticed.
