Recommended Posts

okay so I was search around on ebay for hookahs just for fun (as always) and I found this....

Some anthropologist with a Harvard degree is selling it. It's made with brass and some silver.... best of all its from the mid-to-late 19th century!!

Im curious what they used back then instead of foil, anyone knows?

I'm pretty sure they used nothing. Traditionally when hookahs were smoked with tobacco the coal was placed on the tobacco itself

So they used to smoke harsh hookahs? disgusting... Edited by EvansLight

actually it's traditional to put the coals on the tobacco. 3 ways I know of, smoking Zaghoul, Moussal Saloum, and the whole leaf method, Ajamey? i think it is called? I serve the first two at my lounge for the really hard core smokers. Tastes great, the buzz'll put you down hard though.
