Just in case you dont hear from me!

Recommended Posts

If you have been keeping up with the weather then you should know a big
storm is comming my way(Galveston-Houston). There are going to be alot
of preparations and lots of clean up if it  actually comes this
way. Unfortunatly I have to work nights for the next 3. I am in a 24
hour operation so I cant jump ship. I monitor the company network and 2
of our 5 natural gas pipelines. Worst case scenario is my wife and kids
are going with the rest of my family some place safe, my house goes
away, I will be stuck in downtown houston for a while. Actually a high
rise and a parking garage is the safest place for me and my car during
a storm.  So I will be keeping in touch when I work nights when I
can. Hopefully I will know where this storm will be going by fri
morning when I get off of work. If it does come this way I hope I have
enough time to get the hell out of dodge.
Pack some mre's and some canned food and water in the control room
Just remember. the Captain Country Chicken ones will give you heartburn. and the Beef Burrito ones will make you fart like there are tires burning somewhere close by. (regarding MRE's)
Choose carefully.

Lakemonster, what town are you in?
Cypress, I'm pulling for ya. If it hits close to you, We'll be working to get the Dustoff on it's way out there. It looks like everyone is making preparations better than they did with Rita's evil twin sister (Katrina). I'll PM you.

cypress......for whatever it's worth, I hope you stay safe. No hard feelings over anything that's happened between us in the last week. I have a great amount of respect for you. This is the internet and sometimes tempers flare for whatever reason. If you were to meet me in real life I'm sure you'd have a different opinion of me.In anycase, stay safe and be well

Indeed.. this is gonna be really bad.
I've got all the survival gear readied... and I am going to get the flatbottom boat ready to launch in case I have to go looking for bodies in the creeks and the lake (just in case)
Ar-15, FN-FAL and AK-47 all have ammo belts with loaded mags slung on them and ready to go.
Better safe than sorry.

Oh crap. I'm going to be in the north-eastern quadrant now. Cypress, you wished it over a bit too far now. Hell, I've bee wanting to get rid of those 2 pine trees in my back yard for a long time. I just didn't want to get rid of my roof in the process. So, I imagine that tomorrow night is the last time you may hear from me for a few days. I'll bug the crap out of you all between now and then.
Cheers,
MR Bubble
