tinman
I have read reviews for both the km tri-metal and the al fakner short/tall and I cant come to a decision on either one. So I have decided to purchase both. As of right now I have a mya qt and a mya vortex...call me a mya fanboy if you want but whatever. Im ready to try something new and the km and af look like they do their job quite well. So, here shortly I will be ordering them both. Anyone have any recommendations on where to get them or anything to watch out for? Thanks in advance.-Tinman

lazria
tough choice, but i would lean toward the AF large (IMO). I also want a KM (and a MZ and AF large this year), but something about the Tri-metal errks me, I just can't put my finger on it. It's probably the copper, as I don't want any of that anywhere near my hookah... but that could be me.If my memory serves right, they are within 10-15$ dollars of each other, so that's not an huge factor. I guess it will all come down to what you want more: A KM or a AF.(I know, not much help am I)
erufiku
I ordered my KM already but just out of curiosity, is there any place online that sells KM pipes (besides the Trimetal)?
Canon
the copper is there for decoration, its hollow and has a stainless steel downtube.

tinman
I know we as forum members have a discount to h-c, but do we have one for af as well? I searched for it, but didn't find a definite answer. Canon, do you have the af as well as the km? Im curious as to what bowl and hose you use? Also thanks for the replies...-Tinman
lazria
I'm not aware of a AFonline discount.Canon - i figured it was decoration only, but still. I have a brass stem that needs polishing monthly... don't want anymore stems that need that much work
bunnymud
The AF hookahs are the most beautiful hookahs out thereI have the 26" and getting the 36" as soon as possible
Codename067
Both will not disappoint.I prefer KM.
MechAnt
There is speculation that KM's as of late are not using quality steel. That they have been using galvanized steel that rusts out relatively easily rather than quality stainless steel. Then again that is just speculation. AF hookahs are gorgeous and weigh as much as a baby. They are sweet pipes.
tinman
Codename067, you videos are ridiculous. Are you using a phunnel bowl, it looks like it but its hard to tell. If you are not busy sometime, I would like to pick your brain on your techniques. -Tinman

I can't go on AIM now, it is not letting me, I will try every so often.

(looks awesome imo and its shallow)
Huskysibe
KM doesnt make the Tri-Metal believe it or not. Its the only rig in their stable that is made by someone else that they claim as their own. Thats from a reliable source. Billy
tinman
Wow, thats kinda odd. All well I like it anyways...it doesn't matter if its km or not. So is h-c the only place that carries the tri-metal?-Russ
