Pm From Exotic Imports

Recommended Posts

"We replaced all the exoticas for the time being. We had 60 cases bad. All 60 were accounted for and people started taking advantage of it. There are NO MORE BAD EXOTICAS on the market 100% guarenteed. Mushrat just upset he wanted more coals for free to take advantage of the situation and we said no s we sent him alot of free already...
He got mad, banned me and started a bs thread as a part of his thread which we will take further action if needed against him

This issue has come up numerous times, if you have a defect product you should replace it. I am certain everyone who had a bad box of coals would be willing to send them back to him for a replacement. Instead he just accused everyone of trying to cheat him all teh while claiming he had a far superior product to anythng on teh market. Stand behind your product and inspect the bad ones coming back. Stand behind your product and replace teh bad ones. I didnt get any replacements and I complained a while ago about mine, all I got was chastised by the manufacturer(Gabe) about how I am trying to run him in the ground and threatened legal action against me if I spoke up about it again.

It's one thing to be a selfish, arrogant vendor... but when you're this bloody stupid as well, the only word for it is tragic.

Here is a guy with a good product, who could have been very successful... and he completely fucks over himself and everyone trying to help him.

I still think that ruining a persons reputation over one thing is a too harsh and he many have just given up with people trying to get freebies because I know it was probably happening and it is just like when you were in school or something and the teacher says " you can talk if you are quiet" and one person is always to loud, it pissed the teacher off, and no one gets to talk after that. I can see where mush is coming from but I can also see were Exotic is coming from... like if six crates were bad or whatever it was and he has given away ten crates of free exoticas then I can see why he said no more, but once again we don't know anything below the surface mush might have sent picture to show that they were all bad or he might not have, the guy from exotic imports may be extremely stressed because he might not have enough money to give any more crates free or he might not be... again WE DON'T KNOW.

Thats the chance you take being a manufacturer sss8789. Stand behind your products and do the right thing. And the school analogy is probably a bad one since the legal smoking age is 18 and most of us are probably way past that age and act like adults. Karma my friends, Karma.

BTW Mush didnt ruin this mans reputation, he did it to himself. Look at some of his posts, some were edited but you can get a feel for it. Banning him from a forum doesnt constitute ruining his reputation, the internet is a huge place I am sure he will be fine.

Seems like a lot of vendors have been pushing their own customers away with their behavior latly.

I won't mention any names, but I can honestly say I've never seen such an attitude toward their own consumers.

When an activity explodes into a fad, thats when you separate the bullshitters from the serious. Some try to ride the coat tails to riches, others simply do their business and do it well. That's what's happening right now. You wanna see how people reacted to the Exoticas originally? Read the reviews. All the talking is done right there.

He only came on here because we all were tlaking about how shitty his coals were, and he wanted to explian why and that he is fixing it.

That 1 bad shipment fucked up a ton of his sales to a terrible extent. What can you expect from China though? No one can control the weather or even really forecast what the weather will turn out to be. It's nature, and it fucked up his sales for Mush's bar and i'm sure a ton of other places.

He was fine before HF, he'll be fine, if not even better, now.

No one effected the detriment of Gabriel's business reputation by himself... It's the fundamental duty of a customer to hold a merchant accountable for their actions - hence the phrase "buyer beware".

No one wants to buy from a merchant they can't trust... and no one else on these forums made him untrustworthy.

I blame the gradual devolution of the human species into mind-numb creatures which will be ripe for the next dominate species to take over (my money is on a super-parasite... *cue "The Underdog" by Spoon*). Naturally it affects a percentage of vendors as part of the human population.

But unquestionably at a much, much greater loss than he would have experienced replacing the coals that he was liable for. And do you think that only HF members care about consistency in a product or integrity in a vendor? Edited by gaia.plateau
