Hookah Pig
I've tried three different flavors of Tangiers: - F-Line Cocoa, very harsh, sorta tasty - Blackthorn, very harsh, tasted like beefy jerky - Tropical Revenge, very harsh, smells/tastes ok, nice buzzBut it's all really harsh. I'm in the middle of my Tropical Revenge batch. I stir it really well, it's definitely acclimated, and I load it right up to the rim of my bowl (medium funnel). I've tried using plenty of coal (2 3K 33mm broken in halves) and a little coal (1 33mm broken in quarters). No luck, it's bad harsh. I watched some video on YouTube about how to properly set up a bowl of Tangiers, but that didn't do any good either. Is it just me? Are there some people that just can't handle Tangiers? EternalSoil
it is a strong tobacco.the harshness comes from improper heat management and packing.you put way to much heat on it!OVERPACK the bowl and use 3 1/2 pieces of a 3K maybe 4.dont use whole 3K. you could also try a bunch of 1/4 pieces if you cant figure out the 1/2 pieces. ZenSilk
The delicious of Tangiers is rivaled by no one. It's the greatest money can buy in terms of flavor. If it doesn't taste exactly like ti should, then it's a not good batch or you messed it up in acclimation.
EvansLight
I promise the tingle in the throat isnt always down to the user screwing up. ive said it before, the style of tobacco it is, combined with whatever Eric uses to make it just doesn't go well with some peoples throats. I for one can't handle red tea. I can smoke licorice quite well, its one of my favorites and i can smoke it perfectly, but no matter what i do Red Tea makes me cough. Heat, packing, acclimating are key. Personally, Horocha is just OK, red tea is good and Orange Soda is the shit!!! It does "tickle" the back of the throat a little- but not too harsh. It is a strong hitting smoke...in a good way!Harry....how do you screw up acclimating???
