Lysolz
Well, I didn't mean to say double apple. Is it just the double apples, or all the apple flavors? There's a triple apple from Fantasia, and a triple white apple from Mouj al Bahr ( I think ). And I think I've seen a green apple flavor. Thanks!
gaia.plateau
In my experience, all apple flavours apart from the Eskandarini one have at least some Anise taste.Al-Ouns probably has the least.I haven't tried the one from Fantasia (gross) and I haven't heard of Mouj al Bahr. But I think that 3 apples is pretty much overboard.
MechAnt
Double Apple is a traditionally strong anise taste. Its just what the flavor is. Apple Eskandarini is good apple without anise flavor. Apple flavors in general are a matter of personal taste of whether or not you like anise and or nuances of other flavors you may or may not like. manic007
Try some Al Fakher single apple. IMO it barely tastes of licorice and has a good appley taste. Buy 50grams first to see if you like it, but I'm sure you will

Codename067
Nakhla Double Apple is not too bad.I used to Mix 90% Al Fakher Mint and 10% Nakhla Apple, it tasted really good.
Texico
I second the Al Amir Apple. It's the only apple flavor I've had, but it's a good one and it doesn't have any anise. It's a little dry, though, and a really fine cut, so you have to kind of work with it to keep it from burning. It's a good flavor, though.

MechAnt
Layalina Esk. Apple, I find, is much too floral for me. I didn't get anything close to apple. AF Golden Esk Apple is the shit tho. Edited January 20, 2008 by MechAnt
Nikon1323
yea i usually smoke layalina double apple and its amazing never had a problem with it....but i bought some nakhla double apple and i mixed it with monster in the base and at first it tasted like those carmal apple suckers and then it just tasted like ass...pure black licorise it was terrible
bachdragon
In my opinion Nakhla Double Apple is one father of them all. However, if you want to get the best Double Apple, you have to mix a few brands up to get the best results. Mix Nakhla with Al Fakher double apple. Nakhla has a great taste and the tobacco is very versatile, Al Fakher has a good taste and is juicy, so it will make the smoke nice and thick. Mix the two together an leave them in a jar together for about 48 hours before smoking.
Gold Wing Gunner
The first time I ever had hookah, was at the local lounge and we had Double Apple. I thought it was the best thing I had ever had! Tasted dead on apples! Well later in my hookah days (by the time I Had myown) I went to the same lounge and bought a 250 from them of AF Double Apple, and sure enough I got the dreaded licorice taste, and I hate that taste! Ever since I have had a few other brands and all taste like licorice to me :./
