SafeSearchOff
So i just killed off a bag of Nour coals, leaving me on my last bag of fingers. I'm lookin to place a coal order again soon, but awhile back some1 buying in bulk from thehookah.com said that they had switched to triangles.so i'm looking ot learn a few things1) can a retailer/lounge owner tell me whether or not nour has kept with this triangular design? everywhere online theyre still lsited as fingers but could secretly be triangles!2) if any1 has the nour triangles, how do they compar to the fingers? whats the size, are they able to break easily and can they be managed the same way?3) How do stargate fingers compare to Nour fingers? mushrat
The triangle term is just the shape of the finger. Some are long and square like exotica, some are long and round like, er, nours used to be, and some are long and triangulart, like nours might be. They are all still "fingers" meaning chopped and extruded long sticks of charcoal.I'm ordering a case of Nours to try out here at the bar on monday,. will have them tues or wed so I can tell you for sure. MechAnt
According to the reviews of Stargate finger coals, they are quite highly regarded. Nours are good but they ash a good bit. My local store makes their own coals in a triangle shape which I like better than Nours. The Nours I got a while back were still cylindrical fingers. Oggie505
yea the nours I have are still round, they are good, but do ash a lot, but ain't no problem. Only problem with nours is in the ash there is something like little pebbles?? Edited January 20, 2008 by Oggie505

racemyghost
Local shop use to carry triangle shaped nours but now he has finger style.Compared to finger style, its alot better because it doesnt roll off. A big plus for phunnel users. But freakin Nours ash WAY to much. Its gotten to the point where the ashing was getting out of hand and stopped me from buying them again and ive been using Nours for a year and half now. SafeSearchOff
i really dont mind the ashing, as long as the heat is consistent. ashing every 10 minutes i dont mind at all. the nours gimme a great service, im not gonna get rid of it due to a little ash. MechAnt
Those easy lites or the Golden Canary Coals that Eric uses at his lounge. Nours, I think are perfectly fine. Maybe you can wholesale buy from my local store that makes the coals themselves
