acidsatyr
Im sorta new to this, i got me a new hookah , different 50g romman flavors and golden coals. I usually just make many small random holes. If i use 1 coal it takes 15 min for a thick smoke to produce, if i use 2 i burn it. In fact all my flavors tate more or less the same (cuz im burning it?) mushrat
well..try 1 1/2. You can break those puppies in have if you are careful. A lot of people use half coals for that very reason.
Lakemonster
What Mush sed. I like 1 and 1/2 half myself. Ive found that the using tongs that have the teeth on them that I acn turn a coal over and saw thru that bottom rim of a coal. They snap cleanly in two halves after that. [LB]
2 things for you, one use natural charcoal! if your too lazy like most of these guys, then take these precautinary steps that will ensure a successful 'smoke' not burn of your tobacco 1. try using smaller, more airated bowls, and 'crumble' in your tbac. i forgot who used that word exactly, and make sure there is more tbac around the edges than in the middle so the charcoal has some room 2. let the charcoal sit on the foil for about 10 minutes without smoking it, this gets the smoke goin reaaaal nice, take a little puff and watch the vase fill with thick smoke, then you can start your session. 3. if you wanna use split up charcoals, make sure they are red hot with gray fringes, then use a kife or the pointy part of your tongs to stab it down the middle.
