I've been reading all these posts about KM pipes, but I can't find a website that comes right out and says that the pipes they sell are KM pipes. I am convinced that these must be top notch pipes, but where does one find them in the US??? I don't want to buy a knock off.

What makes these such good pipes? Just the construction?

I agree. I have been ordering from them exclusively for 3 years. I have been looking other places for pipes in recent months though. The same ole stuff gets old after awhile. Other than that, they are top notch in every respect.

I think with this new info I'll be waiting until they carry the KM pipes to order a new one. I just ordered a Mya QT yesterday from them, so its a little soon yet. : )

Thanks!

I didn't ask ~ next time I chat with them I can though.

It isn't 100% that they're getting them, but my understand was that if they can, they will. So like... 95%? They tend to be cautious in getting new products, but the KM is pretty bloody popular so yeah. Let 'em know what you want!

Interesting that you had a bad experience with that pipe! I ordered two of the three hose versions of that same pipe, and the autoseal bearings kept getting stuck in the holes in the stem. one of them got lodged in there so badly that I had to return it. But, to H&S credit, they took it back no questions asked and exchanged it for a king tut.

I ordered two of the glyph pipes too, and both of them were great. So great, in fact, that I have sold them both at parties. People came up, smoked it, were amazed, and offered me cash on the spot.

I think I'll call tomorrow and ask about this KM business myself. Maybe all they need is a little customer push to get the product line going. : )

Thanks everyone!

There have been several complaints about KMs from HC... particularly in regard to poor welding.

Personally I'm waiting until H-S gets them in stock.

I hate to point out the obvious, but KM's are made by KM, not by Hookah Company. If there are welding issues from the manufacturer, there are going to be welding issues from which retailer you buy the pipe from. That having been said, I love my tri-metal. It's flawslessly constructed and smokes like a dream, so if there are issues, you certainly can't prove it by my experience.

I'm only going off what people have said... that specifically HC-sold KMs have frequently been the source of complaints, usually regarding poor welds. Search "KM + weld" and you'll probably get some info on it.

Maybe HC has some sort of discount-programme with KM wherein they order the slightly-to-moderately flawed ones at a cheaper rate? Who knows. Edited by gaia.plateau

That's precisely why I'm loyal to them. They may screw up every now and then (I actually -just- received a package from them containing a new bowl, some grommets and ball bearings, which were missing from my last order... but this package was lacking the golden Syrian valve adapter that was also missing >.>)... but they always take responsibility and do what is necessary to make it right. With many other companies you run the risk of getting screwed.

Not always true. Some manufactueres may have purchased porrly contructed pipes as they may have been made a certain way at a certain time. If, however, they change the way the pipe is contructed and send out a different set of pipes that are better, then didn't manufactuers have pipes that were contructed in a different fashion.
